The idea that the administration would bring the world to the brink of nuclear war to win an election (or to at least mitigate the losses) seems unthinkable to some people. The idea that leaders of western governments would resort to this to stay in power seems ludicrous and incredibly evil. Ludicrous it is not. Incredibly evil it is.
Who undermined Russian/Ukrainian peace talks in April? The Ukrainian news outlet Ukrayinska Pravda reported in May that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson used his surprise visit to Kyiv in April to pressure President Zelenskyy to cut off peace negotiations with Russia. The two sides appeared to have made tenuous progress toward a settlement to end the war.
Johnson noted:
“The first is that Putin is a war criminal; he should be pressured, not negotiated with. And the second is that even if Ukraine is ready to sign some agreements on guarantees with Putin, they are not. We can sign [an agreement] with you [Ukraine], but not with him.”
Ukrayinska Pravda reported:
“The British government has become an obstacle to peace in Ukraine by encouraging the continuation of the war through huge arms shipments and incendiary rhetoric,” Lindsey German, convenor of the U.K.-based Stop the War Coalition, said in a statement Friday. “The conflict there is developing into a proxy war between Russia and NATO and it is the Ukrainian people who will suffer the consequences.”
“We’re campaigning for an immediate ceasefire and a negotiated settlement—anything less risks an escalating conflict with unfathomable consequences.”
The question is why take the path toward escalation?
Even more troubling is the attack by Ukrainian special forces six weeks ago on the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP). The attack was orchestrated by the UK military and MI6. Keep in mind that the UK has no friends in Europe after Brexit. And their help to Ukraine to shell the ZNPP has others in Europe more than a little uneasy. The UK’s relationship with the “Biden” administration is iffy at best. The Davos crowd has been actively trying to end Johnson’s government and did finally succeed.
So, was this mis-begotten plan by Johnson and his military advisors some last ditch attempt to remain relevant in Europe? There has been a constant drumbeat about how incompetent and inept that the Russian army is. Did they believe their own propaganda lies? The attack turned into a massacre. The vast majority of the Special Forces were destroyed. Where was this story in western media?
And the plan also included a component where the IAEA inspectors were to be taken hostage by Ukrainian Special Forces posing as Russian troops.
Statements coming from the UN in the aftermath praise the Russian military for securing the safety of the IAEA inspectors, something the attackers would never have done.
Tom Luongo notes:
What this means is that the Johnson and the US Dept. of Defense/National Security Council (all staffed by the move virulent Neocons) have been planning something like this for months which is why they refuse to allow the Ukrainians to surrender.
It’s also why the EU/Davos (who clearly want out of this insanity) are throwing Johnson under the bus for blowing up April’s peace talks. Russian President Vladimir Putin keeps tightening the screws on the energy-starved Europeans causing all kinds of havoc there politically.
The timing of his announcement that Gazprom was shutting down Nordstream 1 indefinitely while the IAEA inspectors were at the ZNPP is yet another clue to what the real story was. Moreover, note that since this inspection went off without a hitch there was little to no breathless reporting on it.
If a nuclear meltdown incident had occurred at ZNPP, how would the press have handled it? Would anything close to the actual events have ever made it into western media? Would Johnson have used emergency powers to stay in office? Would such an incident have turned public opinion into supporting NATO’s more direct involvement on the ground in Ukraine? And if Johnson have gone to usurping the election process, how far behind would the Democrats have been?
Russia is a lot more capable than western media would have one believe. The UK and the EU are now caught between Russia refusing to the supply energy they need and the Fed giving them the middle finger over their capital needs. The near-and-long-term future of the continent is bleak. How will the Davis crowd try to keep their power now?
The blowing up of the Nord Stream pipelines and the Kerch Bridge show just how desperate these people are. Ukraine is losing. And Europe is losing. That includes the UK. Any resolution of this on diplomatic terms needs to recognize this. The Davos crowd’s belief in their ultimate right to world domination is ending in Ukraine. Right now if they pivot toward peace, they might be able to save some dominance over parts of Europe.
