Odds & Ends

The Davos crowd (that would be the WEF and other such “woke” outfits) has decided that Great Britain should pay “climate change reparations” for all the damage that Great Britain has caused the world by the Industrial Revolution.  Rashid Sanook (or Rishi Sunak if you aren’t President Biden), the new, unelected British Prime Minister, has kicked off the COP27 summit by leaking such a ridiculous idea to the press.  Let’s remember that Sunak was installed as Prime Minister because the WEF did not care for the previous one.

The Telegraph reported, “the UK negotiating team accepts that the issue can no longer be kicked into the long grass. The British team are sympathetic to the position of developing countries that suffer from climate disasters”.

This is just another way for the elite crowd in Davos to extract wealth from the citizens of Western countries.  Britain is going to give money to other areas of the world while their own people are struggling with the inflation deliberately caused by their leadership.

Sunak hid behind pious-sounding utterances.

“By honouring the pledges we made in Glasgow, we can turn our struggle against climate change into a global mission for new jobs and clean growth.

And we can bequeath our children a greener planet and a more prosperous future. That’s a legacy we could be proud of.”

The real legacy is the many ways that these so-called leaders can extract money through taxation and sound like they are saints.

Don Surber notes:

Republicans had a chip shot to win the House and the Senate this year and they blew it. Even if they somehow manage to sink the shot, they have six-putted.

It is time to clean house, learn to ballot harvest and come up with a message that works.  Whoever headed up these campaign committees need to be replaced.  McCarthy and McConnell need to go. It is time to make the Republican Party responsive to We The People.

The message that worked in Florida was freedom. That should be the Republican message. Vote for freedom!

Amen!

The multi-billion dollar cryptocurrency company FTX, run by CEO Sam Bankman-Fried, the second biggest Democrat donor right after George Soros, collapsed last week as details emerged regarding their financial practices

FTX lost roughly $1 billion of customer funds and the money “vanished,” causing federal regulators to look into the company. The investigation will be conducted to determine the extent of harm to clients and what laws FTX may have broken

Wanna take bets on the result here?  On the surface it appears that FTX was a laundromat for Ukraine money.  How much of the aid America sent to Ukraine came back to politicians in this country?

Play smash mouth with bullies.

In early October, biological girls (there really aren’t any other kind other than pretend girls) on a Vermont high school volleyball team were banned from their own locker room for objecting to changing in front of a “transgender” teammate who is a biological male.

A couple of weeks later, the father of one of the girls was suspended from his job as a middle school coach for defending his daughter on social media and ‘misgendering’ the trans student.

Lawyers representing Randolph Union High School (RUHS) in Randolph, Vermont, persuaded school officials to drop their threats of punishment upon receiving a 124-page lawsuit filed by the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF).

A few multi-million dollar lawsuits should help to wake these people up.

News flash! The Department of Justice is comprised of bald-faced liars. Of course, this is not news to those who have followed the exploits of the DOJ and the FBI.

But this latest lie makes no sense. According to NBC News, Paul Pelosi opened the door when police arrived. Specifically, he opened it with his left hand. But that’s NOT the story the DOJ told. And for certain, the DOJ saw the bodycam footage before releasing their statements.

So, as usual, the “conspiracy theories” are becoming increasingly credible with every new detail. Paul Pelosi knew his attacker. He did not feel threatened enough to leave the premises when he could. The window that David DePape allegedly used to enter the premises was broken from the inside. Now this. It all points to a conspiracy that is quickly turning from “theory” to becoming the only viable explanation.

Impeach Merrick Garland.

Following up on yesterday’s post, The “R” Word, Amazon is expected to announce layoffs for approximately 10,000 U.S. workers this week.  Now, if we are not in a recession, why would Amazon being laying off workers now?  Amazon and other retail giants would normally be beefing up workers in anticipation of the holiday shopping season, not laying people off.

Oh, and FedEx and UPS are also planning layoffs.  And Amazon is not telling you how many contract workers from temporary staffing firms are not working.

Perhaps the real word they do not want spoken is the “D” word, depression.
