On November 23rd a fire broke out in Urumqi’s Jixiang Yuan district in an apartment complex. Because of the Chinese COVID lockdown, it is claimed the doors to the building were locked from the outside; people could not escape.
Fire trucks were not permitted to get close enough to the building and the people locked inside could not escape. The current death toll stands at 44 victims.
This horrible tragedy seems to have lit a firestorm of protest from suppressed anger within the Chinese people. There have been significant public uprisings across China against the continual COVID lockdowns. The loss of innocent life seems to be fueling rare public protests against the ruling junta just as the death of a young woman in Iran has fueled continual protests there.
SHANGHAI (AP) — Protesters angered by strict anti-virus measures called for China’s powerful leader to resign, an unprecedented rebuke as authorities in at least eight cities struggled to suppress demonstrations Sunday that represent a rare direct challenge to the ruling Communist Party.
Police using pepper spray drove away demonstrators in Shanghai who called for Xi Jinping to step down and an end to one-party rule, but hours later people rallied again in the same spot. Police again broke up the demonstration, and a reporter saw protesters under arrest being driven away in a bus.
The protests — which began Friday and have spread to cities including the capital, Beijing, and dozens of university campuses — are the most widespread show of opposition to the ruling party in decades.
Dr.Fauci, the architect of the US lockdown strategy, said on Monday after this horrific tragedy, that China’s lockdown were okay “If the purpose is ‘let’s get all the people vaccinated…’”

This sounds an awful lot like “if it means throwing a hood over your head and throwing you into a van to get jabbed, then I’m all in.” This is totalitarianism on steroids. This is the future for this country if our direction does not change.
Are the Chinese citizens becoming aware at this point that “Zero Covid” has nothing to do with why their government is locking them in their hutches, starving them, bludgeoning their pets to death, and spraying their cities with an unknown gas?
A quote from a Chinese citizen:
“Everyone thinks that Chinese people are afraid to come out and protest, that they don’t have any courage,” said the protester, adding it was his first time demonstrating. “Actually in my heart, I also thought this way. But then when I went there, I found that the environment was such that everyone was very brave.”
We know they have courage. It’s just so impossible for them to express themselves or exert influence without putting their lives at risk. The ones who are protesting are extraordinarily brave.
Has a fuse been lit that will be difficult to extinguish? Communist regimes seem to have a life cycle that lasts some 70-80 years. China started down this path in 1949. How much longer can the Communists remain in power? Why is there little reporting of these protests in our media? Then again, why is there no reporting of the widespread protests in many cities in Europe or in Brazil?
