General Flynn Speaks

General Mike Flynn has resurfaced in the public eye.  Now that one can express one’s self freely on Twitter, we are seeing more and more patriotic Americans venturing there.  On Monday, Gen. Flynn fired off a five-tweet barrage attacking the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court system (FISC).

For those who may have forgotten, the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court is the judicial panel that oversees American intelligence agencies when they need to surveil American citizens in the U.S.  The FISC came into the public eye during the investigation of debunked claims against the 2016 campaign of PDJT.

Through repeated applications to the court, containing falsified information, the FBI was able to conduct surveillance on the Trump campaign that grew into the “Russia collusion” investigation.  This was our intelligence community working to stop the election of someone whom they did not approve of.  It wound up costing Flynn the national security advisor post he held briefly in the first days of the Trump administration. To this date no one at the FBI has been held accountable for the perjury involved.

General Flynn’s tweets:

Flynn referenced former Democratic Sen. Frank Church of Idaho, who in the 1970s sparked reforms of America’s intelligence agencies as chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Activities — better known as the “Church Committee.” The committee uncovered revelations of the government spying on Americans.

Back then, Church stated, “Hiding evil is the trademark of a totalitarian government.”

Flynn notes:

“Church was right then and his words are exponentially more on point in 2023. Advances in technology, growth of a federal bureaucracy & deep-seated corruption across the federal government has only expanded the government’s ability to destroy American’s 4th Amendment rights.”

House Republicans have taken the first step by forming a select committee to look into the abuses of the Intelligence Community (IC).  However, doing the right thing is hard, really hard.  The members of this committee will face threats from every area of our IC.

It is not just that the IC is spying on Americans.  It is that they are acting as an independent branch of our government with no oversight.  James Comey said as much when asked why he did not notify the Gang of Eight of the surveillance on the Trump campaign.  According to Comey, it was because of “the sensitivity of the matter.”  So the IC unilaterally decided what to tell Congressional leadership and what to withhold from them.

Back in 1975, Church warned the IC “could be turned around on the American people and no American would have any privacy left, such is the capability to monitor everything: Telephone conversations, telegrams, it doesn’t matter.”

This is exactly what has happened.  We are well down the slippery slope to full totalitarianism.  The recent rebellion of the 20 Republicans in the House is a step in the right direction to rescue our country from the clutches of these evil people.

Let’s remember the American population DRASTICALLY outnumbers the elites and their lackeys. So much so, that if we rise up together, we can overwhelm them every time.

We are not alone.

Each of us can make a difference.

Godspeed!
