East Palestine, Ohio

East Palestine, Ohio residents are being required to sign indemnity waivers, releasing Norfolk Southern Railway (NSR) from legal liability, as a requirement of having their water/air tests conducted on their property.

Senator Vance called Norfolk Southern Railroad officials and asked them about it.  According to Vance, the response from Norfolk Southern Railway was that the liability waiver was accidentally presented.  Is there anyone left in this world who would believe such a fairy tale?

Of course, there is a massive civil lawsuit coming and NSR is trying to reduce their exposure.

A tongue in cheek response from the EPA.

Transportation Secretary Pete returned to duty after ten days off to state that this is just another train derailment.

So according to Petey, there are three derailments a day in America?  And how many of those derailments produce a toxic chemical cloud that can be seen from space?

Is this a Chernobyl level event?  How long will the contamination linger in water, the air, the ground?

Of course, it is Petey’s job to defend those pesky corporations from the vile public.

According to reports from the Ohio governor’s office, there will be no help coming from FEMA.  So, we give a hundred billion dollars to Ukraine to be laundered but there is no money for the people of East Palestine.  Oh, that’s right.  I forgot.  There is no viable way to launder that money.

Oops!  PDJT just announced he is going there next week and, all of a sudden, the folks at FEMA changed their mind about aid.

Contamination anyone?
