Anti-Semitic is a term that is often used like the term racist. A “woke” person who is losing a debate on some topic by the facts put forth by another will throw the emotion-laden term into the mix of the discussion. His/her purpose in doing this is to roil the waters and turn the conversation away from the facts presented.
Using the term racist in this manner was often seen when someone criticized former President Obama on some policy manner. If the facts presented were inconvenient, referring to the presenter of such facts as a racist was often enough to squelch further debate. Open and honest debate on Obama policy issues was routinely suppressed this way.
The term anti-Semitic is now being used in the same way about George Soros and his funding of district attorneys in many areas of the country. And its purpose is the same as when racist was used in Obama policy discussions. It is being used to stop discussion about how Soros is taking over much of the criminal prosecution decisions in many locales.
Dr. Tom Woods has an excellent article on this.
If you’ve never heard the Great Sam Francis neologism anarcho-tyranny, well, you’re living in it.
It is at work when actual crime against person and property either goes unsolved, or their perpetrators are given the lightest of reprimands. It is on regular display in Washington, D.C., and in all the blue cities.
Meanwhile, things that aren’t really crimes at all, or that are of less import than crimes these cities more or less ignore, are ferociously punished.
We observe this playing out before our eyes in the headlines every single day. Examples would be superfluous.
Because of the role of George Soros in influencing this approach to crime, people sometimes refer to “Soros DA’s.” Ron DeSantis made just such a reference the other day on Twitter.
But wait a minute, dear reader. You are not allowed to use this term. Why? Because George Soros is Jewish. So we’re being told it’s anti-Semitic to criticize him.
So, just like with Obama and the term racist, we cannot criticize the results of Soros’ work in getting certain individuals into power in the DA offices in many counties across the country. We cannot speak out about the horrendous abuses of power that are taking place in many of the countries urban centers. That’s just BS.
According to a 2016 Politico article, though, “The billionaire financier has channeled more than $3 million into seven local district-attorney campaigns in six states over the past year — a sum that exceeds the total spent on the 2016 presidential campaign by all but a handful of rival super-donors.”
So you’d think we’d be allowed to point this out, since facts are facts.
Wrong, you anti-Semite.
That article also pointed out that Soros had spent money on district-attorney campaigns in half a dozen states via state-level super PACs as well as a national “527” that is allowed to raise unlimited funds from numerous sources. Each of these groups has as its name a variant of “Safety and Justice,” though Soros and his followers intend to supply neither. Most of the money for these organizations came from Soros directly.
This is another strategy that the Left uses with great regularity. Label something as near and dear to the hearts and minds of the populace so as to avoid a careful inspection of the real workings of the items involved.
The Patriot Act after 9/11 was a particularly egregious example of such a strategy. Patriotism had nothing to do with the inner workings of the legislation. This particular piece of legislation was designed to allow unlimited intrusion into the personal lives of everyday Americans. It is with good reason that Senator Chuck Schumer said, “The Intelligence Community can get you six ways from Sunday.”

And it also reminds us that overlooking races like these could be a mistake. Democrats certainly appreciate their importance: Andrea Dew Steele, president of Emerge America, a Democratic women’s group, notes that “the prosecutor exercises the greatest discretion and power in the system. It is so important.”
We have seen this over and over during the last few years. How many BLM and Antifa people were arrested and prosecuted for the arson, looting, violence and mayhem that they engaged in? The number is vanishingly small. How many people have been locked up without bail for the “crime” of walking through the Capitol Building on January 6th?
If we are going to take back our country from the Communists who are currently in power, if we want to restore some semblance of safety to the hellholes that many of our cities have become, one of the places we will have to do this involves the electing of DA’s who believe in the rule of law and the equal application of the law to all.
