Democrats keep trying to chip away at gun rights. They know they can’t overturn the Second Amendment at this point in time. Their approach is to try to make it more difficult for people to own and use guns for protection.
Senator Edward Markey (D-MA) is pushing legislation that could prevent churches around the country from using a “security services unit” comprised of concealed carriers in churches, congregations, parishes, etc.
The bill in question is the Preventing Private Military Act of 2024, and it is co-sponsored by Senator Laphonza Butler (D-CA). As usual, the title of the bill is such as to hide the true nature of what they are trying to accomplish.
The text of the bill prohibits “acting as part of or on behalf of a private paramilitary organization and armed with a firearm, explosive or incendiary device, or other dangerous weapon.” The Act widely defines a paramilitary group as any group of 3 or more persons who function under a command structure as a “security services unit.”
Currently more than 50% of Protestant churches use some form of armed security. With crime on the rise due to the open southern border, this new law if passed, appears to criminalize many security arrangements made by churches across the country.
This raises an important question. Do the Democrats want mass shootings inside churches? Is this part of their strategy to remove guns from the law-abiding public? Could this be part of a longer term strategy to remove the 2nd amendment?
The Democrats show us every day that they want us destitute and subservient. They want us dependent on the state for all our needs. Our Secret Police (DOJ/FBI – Gestapo) want to make sure citizens can’t defend themselves against the consolidation of power by the Communists (Democrat apparatchiks). While we own guns, this is not possible.
