Odds & Ends

The patently unconstitutional judgement against PDJT for 464 millions of dollars has finally seen some sanity in New York courts.  An appeals court in New York, recognizing the likelihood that Trump will prevail on appeal, lowered the bond requirement to $175 million so that an appeal can be filed.

This is just another aspect of the lawfare that is being used against PDJT and by extension, we the American people.  The court could have intervened earlier with this decision but appears to have preferred to allow the Lawfare narrative the maximum amount of time to permeate the anti-Trump news cycle.  However, faced with the reality of a full appellate review later this year collapsing and reversing the underlying case, the NY court had few options other than timing their intervention.

The lower court ruling was stayed.  The lower court ruling against Trump organization officers was also stayed, allowing the corporate leadership of the various Trump organization LLCs to remain as they are.  All of the substantive elements of Judge Engoron’s verdict were stayed, pending appeal.

America has descended into a banana republic where those who do not bow down to the jackboots who control the country will be targeted.  People still languish in the DC gulag for having walked through the Capitol Building more than three years ago.  The offense was, at worst, trespassing.

Video footage shows the Francis Scott Key Bridge in the Port of Baltimore being hit by a containership that lost power and plowed into a bridge support at about 1:28 AM. The span is part of I-695 and goes over some of the waterway leading into the Port of Baltimore. The port handles trucks, tractors, trailers and container offloading.

The ship had issued a mayday call shortly before hitting the bridge.  That call may have saved some lives by allowing authorities a few minutes to stop traffic headed toward the bridge.  One tractor trailer was seen crossing the bridge just some twelve seconds before the collapse.

The senile-in-chief in DC has jumped in and said that the administration will rebuild the bridge.  That’s interesting.  Who will pay for the new bridge?  I am certain that insurance exists for the cargo ship and probably for the bridge itself.  If the administration decides to bear the cost, does that mean that no investigation of the accident will take place?  How convenient if that turns out to be the case.

Oh, at this point six people have died as a result of the accident.

Is this anything more than just a horrible accident?

There is this to consider.
