Do we have a President right now? Of course, we have one whose name is on all the appropriate documents. However, Biden has not been seen since last week when Air Force One made a high-speed emergency flight from Nevada to the East Coast. Apparently, Biden was in some distress. His brother Frank said that Joe Biden was dying. Then came the missive supposedly from Biden that he was withdrawing from the race for President.
So, who is running the country right now? How unwell is Joe Biden? Biden has not been seen since the emergency flight back from Nevada.
This point gained focus on Monday during the House Oversight Committee hearing and Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle’s testimony.
John Davidson reports:
At one point, Rep. Jared Moskowitz, a Florida Democrat, took Cheatle to task for refusing to take full responsibility for the failure of her agency to prevent the assassination attempt on Trump. He said he and others were calling for Cheatle to resign or — and here’s the key part — “for the president to fire you.”
First of all, Democratic Presidents do not fire anyone. If scandal touches anyone in an executive position (think Lois Lerner and the IRS scandal), those people are just moved to another job and life goes on as if they had never screwed up, had never violated the law.
In this case, there is no one in the Oval Office to do the firing. As Davidson notes, “There is still an office of the president, but there is no one there. It is empty, devoid of agency, and, in a word, lifeless.”
Of course, this became a moot point when Cheatle resigned on Tuesday. Was she seen as a weak link in keeping the scam going? A friend had noted that she seemed very nervous on Monday while testifying. Were the powers that be behind the curtain afraid that accountability might actually come to them?
Davidson notes:
But what must not happen is that we the people simply trundle along and accept the narrative that we’re given by the coup plotters and the media. There has to be accountability for them as much as for the Secret Service and other deep-state actors who set the stage for an assassination attempt on Trump.
Republican officeholders, state and federal, should be pressured by their constituencies to use every available tool, every lawful power they have, to ensure justice is done and the truth of these matters comes to light. We can’t rely on the corporate press, who are as much a part of this charade as the DNC.
We need to deluge our representatives at all levels to dig into this regardless of where it may lead. If America is to return to its foundational values, justice must be done and must be seen by the whole country.
