Even middle schoolers aren’t safe from illegal government censorship.
As a 12-year-old student in Massachusetts, Liam was punished by his school for wearing a shirt that said, “There are only two genders.”
That’s right. Not for disruptive behavior in the classroom or disobeying a teacher. He was disciplined for wearing a shirt with a message that contradicts the government’s preferred narrative.
The principal of the school, along with the school counselor, pulled Liam out of class and ordered him to remove his shirt or go home. Liam politely declined and was sent home.
Public school officials cannot censor a 7th grader’s speech by forcing him to remove a shirt that respectfully states scientific fact. This is a gross violation of the First Amendment.
This is what we have to look forward to if Harris gains the White House again. The government will try to say that “misinformation” needs to be controlled and eliminated. The government will be the ones deciding what is or is not “misinformation.”
The First Amendment will be ignored as will the rest of the Constitution. God gave us a brain. We can use that brain to make a determination as to what information is useful for us. Controlling the dissemination of information is a direct path to communism. This is what Kamala supports.
“I don’t complain when I see pride flags and diversity posters hung throughout the school,” Liam said after he was punished. “Others have a right to their beliefs just like I do.”
The First Amendment protects the right of all people to express their beliefs. If you only have the freedom to agree with those in power, you don’t have freedom at all. In that case you are subjects not citizens.
