Recess Appointments

An interesting conversation with Jeff Clark on PDJT’s power to gain the use of recess appointments if the Senate is reluctant to expedite the placement of individuals into the jobs that Trump wants them in.  One has to put up with Bannon interrupting from time to time when Clark is about to make a salient point.

Now Bannon does make a good point that the ultra RINOs have not actually said they would not confirm Gaetz.  It seems that some of these politicians are trying to see just how much support there is within the public for granting PDJT the ability to have his own staff in this administration.

Speaker Johnson coming out and talking about recess appointments is a good sign for PDJT.  House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) joined Fox News Sunday with Shannon Bream to discuss the challenges facing President Trump’s cabinet nominations, including the selection of former congressman Matt Gaetz for Attorney General.

Shannon Bream:

President Trump has made it clear that if his nominees are blocked, he’s open to pursuing recess appointments. Forbes noted that lawmakers in both the House and Senate must agree for the Senate to adjourn for more than 10 days. What’s your role in this process? Would you facilitate recess appointments?

Mike Johnson:
I believe a new president should be able to choose their team. It shouldn’t be a controversial notion. Unfortunately, we’re in a deeply divided government, and the Senate may stall this process. If that happens, it would hurt the country.

The American people have given President Trump a clear mandate—an overwhelming popular vote and Electoral College victory. His nominees are part of delivering on that America First agenda. If necessary, we’ll evaluate the recess appointment option at the appropriate time.

It is interesting that Johnson would talk about this now.  Johnson went with PDJT to Madison Square Garden over the weekend for the UFC event there.  The reception that PDJT got there was unbelievable if you were not present.

“If people at home could hear the sound in this room right now. It is so loud!” Joe Rogan told viewers of the fight broadcast as Trump entered. “It’s always loud when he comes in, but now that he’s won [the election], now that he’s the president again, oh my God!”

The thunderous applause was not lost on Speaker Johnson or RFK, Jr. as well.  Both appeared to be stunned by the level of support for PDJT inside MSG.

“It was just a great celebration of America,” Johnson said about the weekend’s events, particularly the UFC fight.

“What happened at Madison Square Garden Saturday night was a kind of microcosm of what we are experiencing all around the country,” he said.

“I kept telling everybody there’s an energy out there …. it’s an almost euphoric felling that people have, that America is back,” he said. “And it was fun to be a part of that.”

These political elites need to get out with PDJT to understand that the American people see Trump as a vehicle for a return to the country that our founders envisioned.  This can be a very powerful incentive for these people to help PDJT accomplish his agenda for the American people.
