Jen Psaki is someone that we all remember. Psaki was the White House Press Secretary before she left to her gig on MSNBC. As press secretaries go, Psaki was light years more qualified than the current occupant of the job. With Joe Biden pardoning his son Hunter of any and all possible federal crimes between 2014 and now, some of Psaki’s statements have come back to haunt her.
Fox News noted:
MSNBC host and former White House press secretary Jen Psaki previously claimed in June that President Biden would not pardon his son because he believed in the American justice system.
“His decision not to pardon his son is not an expression of restraint or removal in any way from what his son has gone through and is continuing to go through, but of principle,” Psaki said on June 16, the same week his son was convicted on federal gun charges and his father reiterated he would not pardon him.
…
“Because the justice system that convicted his only surviving son is the same justice system he vowed to protect,” Psaki continued in the June segment. “If that doesn’t tell you who Joe Biden is, I don’t really know what does.”
“Joe Biden’s character as a public servant is what drove him to make clear that the law applies to everyone.”
Was Psaki really this clueless about Joe Biden? Biden has been a low brow, classless politician for a long time. The Biden family imbibing at the trough of public money has not been a secret.
The blanket pardon of Hunter Biden is about protecting the Biden Crime Family from prosecution, which is why I expect more pardons to come. How many more members of the Biden Crime family will receive pardons as Joe Biden exits the presidency? Biden needs to protect any beneficiary of the criminal largesse that existed from being leveraged to spill the beans about how the RICO operation worked.
While the pardon was not unexpected, what was really galling was Biden’s statement about the pardon.
Instead of acknowledging any wrongdoing on Hunter’s part, he portrayed him as a victim of “selective and unfair prosecution.” Biden claimed, “No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son – and that is wrong.”
That Biden would make such a statement is incredible. In 2018, U.S. Attorney David Weiss of the Delaware District Court launched an investigation into Hunter Biden. The probe dragged on for five years, during which time the statute of limitations conveniently expired on some of Hunter’s most serious alleged offenses—such as tax evasion in 2014 and 2015, years when he earned millions from foreign entities. Ultimately, the DOJ charged him with relatively minor crimes, creating the appearance of accountability while shielding him from harsher consequences.
Biden’s statement noted a carefully negotiated plea deal that was agreed to by the DOJ. Biden claimed this deal was wrecked by “political opponents.” Hogwash! The judge in the case found the deal to be beyond the pale. The judge even questioned the constitutionality of the deal. The blanket immunity provision was particularly troubling.
As with most things emanating from Joe Biden’s mouth, these are lies. For a while there, I did not think that Biden could stoop any lower than he has. However, he has proved me wrong with his latest lies.
Biden doesn’t have to worry about them finding room on Mt Rushmore for another image.
