The Hill reports:
Rep. Susan Wild (Pa.), the top Democrat on the House Ethics Committee, was absent from the panel’s meeting last week after being traced as the source of leaks to the press regarding the investigation into former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), sources told The Hill.
It remains unclear if Wild voluntarily skipped the Thursday gathering or was asked not to attend, what information she leaked and to whom, and how the panel tracked her back as being the leaker. Two sources said Wild ultimately acknowledged to the panel that she had leaked information.
Even though Wild is leaving Congress at the end of the year, a valid question should be why is she still listed as the ranking member of the committee?
As people still suffer from Hurricane Helene and Milton, President Joe Biden announced the U.S. will give $1,000,000,000 to African nations to help those displaced by natural disasters.
Biden said in Angola:
“That’s the right thing for the wealthiest nation in the world to do. And today I’m announcing over $1 billion in new humanitarian support for Africans displaced from homes by historic droughts and food insecurity.”
In other news it was announced that western North Carolina had identified as being part of Africa.
Alvin Bragg loses another one.
A jury found Daniel Penny innocent of Alvin Bragg’s ridiculous charges related to subduing a homeless man who threatened passengers in a subway car. The exoneration demolished a media narrative that Penny was a white supremacist stalking black men.
Penny held the man, Jordan Neely, until authorities could take him into custody. A drug called K2 likely killed him. Yes, Neely was alive when taken into custody by the police.
The not guilty verdict was delivered despite BLM, that’s Obama’s foot soldiers, pressuring the judicial system once again to railroad a white man.
The case was another one designed to coerce black voters back onto the Democratic plantation. It was similar to Michael Brown, Trayvon Martin and George Floyd. I believe the grievance industry is losing its pull.
Kentucky’s Senator Mitch McConnell tripped and fell after a GOP Senate lunch on Tuesday. Let’s be reminded that McConnell sparked health scares last year when he froze and lost the ability to speak several times. McConnell is far past his last use date. It is time for him to step down and allow someone else to represent Kentucky in the Senate.
