National Security

With the runover to a new year, America sees the need for rapid confirmation by the Senate for PDJT’s national security team.  Individuals like Kash Patel (FBI), Tulsi Gabbard (DNI), Pam Bondi (AG) and Pete Hegseth (DOD) need to be on the job as soon as possible.  The recent events of New Year’s Day provide greater emphasis on this happening sooner rather than later.

It has been a long-standing tradition for the Senate to approve a new President’s cabinet appointments unless, in the very rare case, major personal problems with a candidate are uncovered.  In this day and age, the vetting of candidates has reduced that possibility to be almost non-existent.

This does not mean that questions about how a candidate will handle his/her duties are not made.  Much of that is political show.  However, in the end the Senate gives the new President the team that he is asking for. How many nominees to department head positions in the Biden administration were denied in 2021?  None.

PDJT has provided a long list of nominees to be approved.  Many of them have already held many meetings with Senators to answer whatever questions they may have.

The incompetence of the current administration demands a thorough housecleaning of all Washington agencies.  The current government is a behemoth that needs a severe reduction in size.  The more money that is devoted to government, the less that is available for productive activities.

The biggest problem here is that too many Senators have become obscenely rich from their years of “public service.”  A thorough cleaning and disinfecting of DC might put some of them at risk of exposure to activities that might be looked at with some disdain by the public.

However, more important than any of that, our national security demands it.  America cannot afford petty political gamesmanship to further put the country at risk.  Too many American lives have already been lost.

All of Trump’s picks for department heads need to be approved quickly.
