In yet another stunning example of government waste, the Biden administration’s $3 billion scheme to convert the U.S. Postal Service (USPS) fleet to electric vehicles (EVs) has delivered nothing but empty promises, skyrocketing costs, and a mere 93 vehicles out of the planned 50,000.

The order was placed three years ago.  This was part of the infamous Inflation Reduction Act which did exactly opposite of what the title was.

Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and Representative Michael Cloud (R-Texas) are leading the charge against this reckless taxpayer-funded disaster.

Cloud noted,

“The Biden administration’s so-called Inflation Reduction Act funneled billions into a failed USPS EV project that has delivered nothing but delays, defective trucks, and skyrocketing costs.

“Three years later, taxpayers are still waiting while the Postal Service refuses to provide basic transparency on where the money went. The Return to Sender Act takes back the $3 billion in taxpayer money that has been wasted in this project.”

Good luck getting any Communist Democrat to vote to save the taxpayer any money.

Will Chuck Schumer (D, NY) shut down the government?  The Senate is slated to vote on a stopgap funding bill to fund government operations for the remainder of the fiscal year to avert a shutdown set to occur after midnight on March 14.

Speaker Johnson noted, “Here’s the bottom line: if congressional Democrats refuse to support this clean CR, they will be responsible for every troop that misses a paycheck, for every flight delay from reduced staffing at TSA, for every negative consequence that comes from shutting down the government.”

This CR actually reduces the amount of money the government spends and that is anathema to Democrats.  That will hurt the Democrats’ grifting.  It will also hurt their ability to misinform the public about what is happening in the world.

What’s a Democrat to do?

On Monday, Bay Area workers and students stayed home to protest current activity by the federal government to rid the country of illegal immigrants.  Supposedly this was a nationwide effort.  However, few disruptions were noted outside the Bay Area.  I guess the drying up of the US AID money had something to do with that.

During his State of the Union address, PDJT honored a 13-year-old cancer survivor.  Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel has dreams of becoming a police officer.  PDJT made him an honorary member of the Secret Service as millions of Americans and his proud father watched.

Many people cheered…but not the Democrats in Congress.  Many Democrats remained seated and stone-faced in a sad showing of just how partisan and out of touch the party is.  When you cannot celebrate the victories of everyday Americans, something is seriously wrong.  I guess that is what happens when the grifting you have been involved in for so long is exposed for the world to see.

Alberta lawyer Jeffrey Rath says a delegation is planning to travel to D.C. to pitch President Trump on Alberta statehood.

This leads to an obvious question.  Just why is PDJT talking about Canada statehood and Greenland becoming part of the US?  I do not believe for one moment that this is just idle chatter as some brain-dead Communists Democrats do.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent spoke the truth when he acknowledged some signs of weakness in the U.S. economy.

“Could we be seeing that this economy that we inherited starting to roll a bit? Sure. And look, there’s going to be a natural adjustment as we move away from public spending to private spending.

“The market and the economy have just become hooked. We’ve become addicted to this government spending, and there’s going to be a detox period.”

The greatest economy the world has ever seen did not happen because the government was spending boatloads of money.  It happened because the country used to applaud the innovative abilities of Americans.  It happened because those innovative abilities were rewarded by the public.  It is time once again to reduce the size of government so that such people can have access to the funds to make those dreams come true.
