A USAID official and three government contractors pleaded guilty to a decade-long bribery scheme involving over $550 million in contracts, according to the DOJ.
Beginning in 2013, USAID official Roderick Wilson agreed with corporate executive Darryl Britt to receive bribes in exchange for Watson’s influence to award contracts to a small business named Apprio and its subcontractor Vistant.
Watson received more than $1 million in bribes to steer no-bid contracts to Apprio and Vistant.
Anybody who cares about good and effective government should be concerned about the waste, fraud, and abuse in government agencies, including USAID.
Reducing USAID’s footprint will undoubtedly save taxpayer money.

The non-partisan media is 100% supportive of these violent protests.
As the mainstream media continues to gaslight over the “mostly peaceful” Los Angeles riots, we turn to the New York Times, which on Wednesday rushed to the defense of Mexican flag-waving rioters who President Donald Trump and others in the administration have referred to as “insurrectionists.”
The Times, it seems, wanted us to know that the flags from other countries, including Mexico, which have been on display since the start of the riots, were not an example of anti-Americanism and attempted occupation but instead pride in heritage.
This week, those who kept waving them said that it was important to honor their heritage and not acquiesce to Mr. Trump, even while they recognized the potential political cost. They said that the flag to them was not un-American, that it represented their Chicano roots rather than a national allegiance.
This is just plain old BS. When Democrats and their paid professional agitators are in disarray, the media swoop in to try to save the day. It’s as predictable as the Sun coming up in the East.
A newly-released survey illustrates just how poorly Americans view the Democratic Party’s job performance on immigration.
Only 19% of likely voters in swing districts across the U.S. approve of Democrats’ handling on immigration, according to a poll released Thursday by Way to Win and Impact Research. Seventy-seven percent of these likely voters disapprove of the party’s handing on immigration, putting the Democrats underwater by 58 points on this issue.
Yet the Democrats continue to fight to keep violent predators here in this country pretending that these people are law-abiding individuals who may have been a little too ”exuberant” in their actions per Nancy Pelosi.
