Trump’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) sued the entire federal district court bench in Maryland on Tuesday evening over an order that blocks deportations of criminal aliens.
“This lawsuit involves yet another regrettable example of the unlawful use of equitable powers to restrain the Executive. Specifically, Defendants have instituted an avowedly automatic injunction against the federal government, issued outside the context of any particular case or controversy. They did so by promulgating a standing order (“Standing Order”) and amended standing order (“Amended Standing Order”; together, “Orders”) that require the court clerk to automatically enter an injunction against removing, or changing the legal status of, any alien detained in Maryland who files a habeas petition,” the lawsuit against the judges said.
“Defendants’ automatic injunction issues whether or not the alien needs or seeks emergency relief, whether or not the court has jurisdiction over the alien’s claims, and no matter how frivolous the alien’s claims may be,” the lawsuit said.
The entire federal court system has gone off the tracks. Judges no longer pay attention to Supreme court rulings. Recently SCOTUS in a 6-3 decision with the DEI justices dissenting, stayed the order of a district judge on deportations to third-party countries. Unbelievably that judge said the ruling did not apply to him or his court even though the case was from his court.
Now we have district courts deciding to issue an automatic injunction without deciding the merits. This is making an injunction into a right which SCOTUS has ruled should never be the case.
Chief Justice Roberts needs to reign in the lower courts before Congress decides to do so.
CNN claims the B-2 attack in Iran failed because the nuke site could be rebuilt. Do these people ever really listen to themselves? The goal of the attack was to destroy Iran’s ability to create a nuclear bomb in the here and now. That was accomplished. Even Iran has admitted that the site was badly damaged.
The other part of the equation is this. Iran now knows for certain that the ability to destroy a nuclear fabrication site that was protected by a mountain exists. And it did not take a nuclear bomb to do so. It seems this might be strong leverage to join the nations of the world in cooperation and peace.
If the measure of success is whether something can be rebuilt, then, I suppose the nuking of Hiroshima and Nagasaki was a failure since they were rebuilt.
A mob of wokeistas invaded the U.S. Capitol Building today to protest the Big Beautiful Bill. Was this an insurrection? Will these people be held in jail in solitary confinement without trials for years as the J6ers were?
Or since these people are part of the radical left, will they get off with little more than a slap on the wrist?
This looks awful “insurrectiony” to me.
