The scandal widens. Another aspect of Russiagate gets some sunlight. The U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary has released a scathing statement exposing the FBI’s utter failure—if not outright refusal—to properly investigate Hillary Clinton’s illegal use of a private email server in her home during her time as Secretary of State. As many will remember, this occurred during the campaign for President in 2016.
Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) revealed that the newly declassified “Clinton annex”—an appendix to the DOJ Inspector General’s 2018 report—shows that James Comey’s FBI deliberately ignored key evidence, stonewalled Congress, and prioritized politics over national security.
FBI brass, this includes Comey, McCabe, and disgraced agent Peter Strzokand and his liaison—buried damning evidence, including thumb drives with highly classified information that would’ve blown the lid off the Clinton-Obama cover-up.
Jim Hoft notes:
- Thumb drives containing sensitive data tied to the State Department, Congress, and even President Obama himself were seized… and then ignored.
- An FBI memo recommended further searches, but the bureau leadership squashed the probe.
- Intelligence reports indicated coordination between then-DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz and operatives from the Soros-funded Open Society Foundations to suppress the investigation.
- The FBI failed to pursue leads that the Obama administration intentionally derailed the Clinton probe to protect her 2016 candidacy.
Senator Grassley’s statement notes:
The DOJ OIG report illustrates that the FBI failed to thoroughly and completely investigate the Clinton matter as a result, as well as vet the serious national security risks created by Clinton’s careless handling of highly classified information.
According to the DOJ OIG, the thumb drives contained highly sensitive information exfiltrated from U.S. government agencies, including the Department of State, as well as then-President Barack Obama’s emails and, potentially, congressional information.
The thumb drives were never reviewed as part of the Clinton investigation, contrary to the recommendation of a draft FBI memorandum. The DOJ OIG report also shows the drives should have been immediately reviewed for foreign intelligence purposes, but were not.
Everyone that was not living on another planet remembers that Comey, in a press conference, detailed Hillary Clinton’s missteps in the handling of all of this information. Essentially, Comey laid out the prosecution’s case…and then had the audacity to say that no prosecutor would have taken the case to a grand jury.
If that were true, it was not because the case did not go well past the threshold of criminality. Perhaps Comey was thinking that no prosecutor wanted to be an Arkansas suicide.
All of this points to an ongoing effort of the government to weaponize its agencies against anyone who would not toe the line of its ideology.
Let’s be reminded that the truth has no agenda. It is just the truth. God has given each of us a brain. Whatever conclusions emerge from viewing the truth are the product of the brain of the beholder.
Tulsi Gabbard in her release noted:
“I don’t know what excuse there is for those who supposedly investigated this previously, whether it was Durham or others, that they were not able to put together the dots and ultimately show the truth to the American people. There is no rational or logical explanation for why they failed.”
No logical explanation? I am sure that Tulsi does not really mean this. The logical explanation is staring everyone in the face. The Democrats cannot accept losing. This has been true every time they lost a presidential election in this century. If we harken back to Bush 43, during the “peaceful transition of power,” what we saw was a destruction of property in the administration by the outgoing political party. Computer keyboards had the “W” removed. Personnel ripped phones from the walls. They defaced bathrooms. Artifacts in the White House went missing. The GAO estimated that more than $15K in damages was done.
This did not happen in some fledging third world country. It happened in America. And it was a betrayal of the nation’s trust.
How much worse is what we are seeing now?
Charlton Allen notes:
This episode far exceeds the gravity of Watergate or Iran-Contra. Unlike the XYZ Affair—where foreign agents sought to manipulate American diplomacy—the Russia hoax was an inside job: an act of political sabotage orchestrated by Americans against Americans. And it was more calculated, more coordinated, and ultimately more dangerous than even Aaron Burr’s wildest conspiracies against the Republic.
What we now know is that the collusion in 2016 was not between Trump and Russia—it was among senior Obama officials conspiring to undermine the results of the 2016 election.
It was an internal attack not just on a political opponent, but on the American constitutional order itself. It was the kind of action we routinely condemn when committed by foreign adversaries, yet in this case, impugned by high-ranking administration officials to a hostile power.
So much for the lie that the Obama administration was without scandals. The entire eight years of Obama’s presidency and his promise to fundamentally transform America resulted in the absolute degradation of our country. Obama successfully divided the country into those who believe in the foundational values of our country and those who would rape and pillage its treasury. America became nothing more than a sophisticated banana republic where justice and the rule of law was a cruel joke. Ask the J6ers about that. And all are protected by Big Media functioning as the propaganda arm of the Marxist/Democrat/Hate America Party.
The coup was against “We The People.” Trump was just in the way. Accountability is a must. Put an ironclad case together and begin going after those who believe they are “above the law.”
