Independent journalist Matt Taibbi breaks down the Russiagate fraud against the backdrop of the most recent declassified revelations.
Taibbi touches on Crossfire Hurricane and its origins. Specifically, the fact that Russian intelligence had info that Hillary Clinton had a plan to connect PDJT and Russia in a plot to control the 2016 election. None of this was true. But it happened anyway when some Australian diplomat supposedly told the administration that Papadopoulos allegedly said he had dirt on Clinton. Again this was not true but was used anyway.
The interview ranges over motivations behind the plot and what info may be headed to the grand jury. Yes, a grand jury has been empaneled. Along the way, Taibbi indicates how incredulous it was to see the federal government spying on the candidate for President from the other party.
Taibbi goes on to indicate that he believes that the motivations behind these activities were to lead to an impeachment. Taibbi indicates that he believes there are tons of information that has not yet been released but should see the light of day in the grand jury room.
Taibbi compares the efforts of the individuals involved in RussiaGate to Watergate. There is little doubt that this is far worse. Multiple agencies of the federal government were weaponized against the Trump campaign illegally in order to benefit the opposing party’s candidate.
Taibbi covers the problems of FISA and other elements of control being exercised by the federal government with little if any oversight.
