CBS News Commits Fraud…Again

In October President Trump sued CBS News for $10 billion (eventually increased to $20 billion) for deceptively editing its ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris.

“President Trump brings this action to redress the immense harm caused to him, to his campaign, and to tens of millions of citizens in Texas and across America by CBS’s deceptive broadcasting conduct,” the lawsuit stated, according to Fox News.

60 Minutes was caught editing Kamala’s answers to make her sound coherent and normal.  In fact, Harris’ answer was so bad that ’60 Minutes’ spliced her nonsensical answer and replaced it with a completely separate sentence she said earlier in the interview.

Well, CBS News is at it again.  CBS deceptively edited DHS Chief Kristi Noem’s comments on MS-13 gang member, wife beater and child predator, Kilmar Abrego Garcia.  Garcia, as many people may recall, was the “Maryland man” who was deported to El Salvador.  Garcia was later returned to this country due to a clerical error in his deportation proceedings.

A federal grand jury in Tennessee recently indicted Kilmar Abrego Garcia for “transporting undocumented migrants within the United States.”  Upon his release from jail pending trial, Garcia was ordered to be deported to the East African country of Uganda.  Unfortunately an Obama-appointed judge blocked that deportation effort at least temporarily.  So, at this point Garcia is free to walk the streets.

DHS Chief Kristi Noem appeared on CBS’s Face the Nation to discuss the Trump Administration’s work to make the country safer by arresting and deporting dangerous criminal aliens like Abrego Garcia.

Noem attempted to detail Kilmar Abrego Garcia’s many crimes.  CBS tried to whitewash the truth about Garcia.

In the clip that aired, Noem said, “[And] the one thing that we will continue to do is make sure that [Abrego Garcia] does not walk free in the United States of America.”

In the unaired clip, Noem said, “This individual was a known human smuggler, MS-13 gang member, an individual who was a wife beater and someone who was so perverted that he solicited nude photos from minors and even his fellow human traffickers told him to knock it off. He was so sick in what he was doing and how he was treating small children. He needs to never be in the United States of America and our administration is making sure we’re doing all that we can to bring him to justice.”

With this kind of editing, with CBS interfering with the administration of justice, can it now be said that CBS is defending Garcia, a known pedophile, wife beater and human trafficker?  If so, is it time for the FCC to review whether CBS having a broadcast license is in the public interest?  Is it time for the Smith-Mundt Act to be re-instated?
