DC Judge Kendra Briggs — appointed by President Biden — has decided that the two thugs who brutally jumped Edward “Big Balls” Coristine will not spend a single day in jail!
They attacked him in a D.C. parking garage, beat him until he was left with a concussion and a broken nose, and laughed about it on video. Corsitine protected a young woman from these thugs
But instead of holding them accountable, Judge Briggs said her job was to “rehabilitate, not punish.”
So she gave them probation.
Wrong! The judge’s job to administer justice. She is not a social worker. This kind of crap is why crime is out of control in most of our large cities.
There were no consequences that fit the crime. And this was a violent crime. If Corsitine had not defended the woman, what would have happened to her? What kind of violence would have been committed against her? Would she have been raped? Or murdered perhaps?
A man is beaten senseless in our nation’s capital, and the message from this court is that the attackers deserve compassion. We should feel sorry for them. What about the victim? This is just insanity,
This is what happens when left-wing ideology infects the justice system.
Judges like Kendra Briggs are more concerned with the feelings of criminals than the safety of citizens. They treat violent offenders as misunderstood victims. Real victims are ignored or even worse, sometimes indicted for standing up to these thugs. It’s no wonder crime keeps rising in cities run by people who think punishment is outdated.
What Briggs did is not rehabilitation. Briggs rewarded these thugs. She told every young thug watching that you can commit a violent assault and still go home to sleep in your own bed that night. It tells every law-abiding citizen that your safety is negotiable. If you are the wrong color and if your attacker checks the right demographic boxes, the system will go easy on them.
This is just insane.
