Is senility an illness that is beginning to ravage the elite ranks of the Democratic Party? The country has seen the decline of former President Joe Biden before our very eyes. The same can be said of the former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, whose disconnects with reality are now being hidden behind very rare public appearances. Thankfully, Pelosi has opted to retire at the end of her current term.
Six Democratic members of the House and Senate recently came out and called for the mutiny of members of our armed services. The only possible explanation for this has to be senility because otherwise, these people are certainly bordering on charges of sedition.
Of course, on the other side of the aisle, Senator Mitch McConnell appears to be slipping away. Thankfully he has decided not to run in 2026.
This past week, Senator Elizabeth Warren used a Senate hearing to claim that Trump is responsible for rising health-care premiums across the country. Huh? Have the memory centers of Senator Warren’s brain withered away so much that she has forgotten that Obamacare was passed during President Obama’s first term of office?
Such passage came without a single Republican vote in either the House or the Senate. Senator Warren was at the forefront of the passage efforts.
Obamacare was modeled on Romneycare, a “healthcare for all” plan in Warren’s home state of Massachusetts. That was an absolute disaster and would have collapsed if not for significant financial interventions by the federal government.
Warren spoke from prepared remarks. One point that we all can agree with Warren on is that health care in America is too expensive. But instead of acknowledging that premiums, deductibles, and co-pays rose for ten consecutive years under Democrat leadership (six years under Obama and four years of Biden), Warren blamed President Trump for the rising costs.
During the hearing, Warren claimed that the “Big Beautiful Bill” stripped coverage from “15 million people.” Is this true? It may be true. If it is, it would be the first time that the Democrats have acknowledged that there are a lot of illegal aliens in the country because the bill did strip coverage from illegal aliens.
Did Warren mean to do this? That would seem unlikely. Did Warren inadvertently tell the truth as Joe Biden would sometimes do during his descent into senility? When was the last time that Senator Warren was given a cognitive test?
Warren asked Mr. Levitis whether premiums would “double next year.” Levitis confirmed that certain ACA benchmark plans could spike—but he also identified the real driver: the ACA’s collapsing risk pools and concentrated market exits, not Trump’s actions.
Obamacare is a disaster. It never lowered healthcare costs. Many people saw increases of 50% the first year. Families know the truth. Health-care costs rose for years before President Trump took office—and they are only now seeing relief because his administration is expanding competition, transparency, and affordability in ways Democrats never attempted.
The Democrats were too busy cozying up to Big Pharma and their largesse to try and fix the structural problems of Obamacare. Of course, if they did so, they would be admitting that President Obama was not the LightBringer.
Warren wants to continue the COVID subsidies even though the COVID “emergency” ended long ago. Warren knows that the expiring subsidies will expose even further the absolute disaster that is Obamacare.
Does Warren actually know this? Is she just reading talking points without understanding reality as many persons in senility do?
