Ukraine Meetings Continue

On Sunday, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump emissaries Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner met with the Ukraine negotiating team in Florida to further discuss terms for a ceasefire and an end to the war.

An interesting note is that President Zelenskyy was not present for these talks.  Zelenskyy is embroiled in a corruption scandal in Ukraine involving his senior administrative team.  The Ukraine delegation was led by State Security Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, while Zelenskyy went to Paris for an emotional support session with Emmanuel Macron.

It should be noted that this corruption in Ukraine was an open secret.   The question that needs to be asked is why now is it being splashed across the front pages of the media outlets.  Who benefits from the distraction that this is bringing to the potential end of the war?  Are there US Congress critters who are getting uneasy?

Let’s be reminded that the EU does not want the war to end.  An end to the war would dry up monies being spent on war machines.  The EU economies need an ongoing war to help keep those economies from collapsing.

What are the facts on the ground?  Ukraine has lost the war.  The number of Ukrainian KIA is staggering.  President Trump is the only one who cares about the Ukrainian people. That said, even Pres. Putin cares more than Zelenskyy and the Euro-Kleptocracy.  The Deep State money has severed Zelensky’s interests from the interests of his people.

Russia has conquered much of the Donbas region.  Any settlement will probably cede the Donbas region to Russia.  Failing to achieve a settlement will see Russia take it militarily.  Any settlement must allow Ukraine to continue to exist.

Rubio pointed out, “The end goal is obviously not just the end of the war. Obviously, that’s central and fundamental.  It’s also about securing an end to the war that leaves Ukraine sovereign and independent and with an opportunity at real prosperity.”

As evidence of the EU’s resistance, Sundance points out:

The EU is now saying they will not comply with any removal of sanctions against Russia.  If the U.S-Russia and Ukraine work out a negotiated settlement that permits legal or economic relief for Vladimir Putin, the European Union will not agree and will instead make up their own decision on the issues.

Europe is holding this position as a threat, because President Trump is not fully consulting with them on all the granular details.  However, this is the type of threat that is exactly beneficial to what appears to be the long-term strategy of Trump.

And just what might those benefits be?

If the U.S. negotiates the removal of U.S treasury and financial sanctions against Russia, and if Europe and Canada continue blacklisting Russia, the U.S-Russia energy development program gains exclusive benefits to Trump, Putin and other allies like Mohammed bin Salmon (Saudi Arabia), ASEAN nations and even Japan.

The EU would be left out in the cold.  And cold is probably the most ideal word to describe this situation.  From Sundance:

In practical terms, what would this look like?  Well, the entire world would have lower energy prices, lower oil and natural gas prices, and lower gasoline prices by big margins.  Meanwhile, Europe would have a massive disparity in their much higher energy costs – likely double the rest of the world.   Think about the ramifications.  Hungary, Georgia, Montenegro, and Serbia with 50% lower prices on gasoline and electricity than the EU.

This would undoubtedly lead to some fracturing of the EU as some countries exit the trade bloc.  Would this happen?  Could the EU leaders be so shortsighted?

There is an awful lot going on here. And it is very complicated.   Will the Deep State succeed in preventing peace?

Let’s be reminded.

A strategic partnership of America with Russia completely upends the global alliance and financial control system. There is nothing in the world of geopolitical networks (banking, finance, trade or military) more comprehensively disruptive to the current order of things than the possibility of Russia and the largest, most powerful and anchoring country in the West forming an alliance. Nothing else even comes close. If President Trump can pull this off, everything changes.
