2025…Count Your Blessings

I hear from time to time about the so-called lack of progress by the Trump administration.  The power brokers are trying to paint PDJT as just another sleazeball DC politician.  They are hoping to sow enough doubt among the citizenry so that they can return to power in November elections.  One must be reminded that the major media outlets are all in on this scam.

Let’s look at a few of the accomplishments of this administration less than a year in.

I had a minor epiphany at the gas pump the other day. Looking up at the $2.39 sign—$1.99 in Texas—I realized that the GOP could have no more effective or honest free advertising heading into November than these ubiquitous signs.

Gas prices are lower and should stay low for one reason above others: the climate change tyranny has been toppled. Yes, there are still people like AOC screeching about the coming end of the world.  However, they are seen as kooks rather than serious people.

The Trump administration— kudos here to Lee Zeldin at EPA and Doug Borgum at Interior—has been more than happy to support this climate change of heart by some of our wealthiest people.

DEI has collapsed.  Good riddance. Hiring people based on their skin color is antithetical to the very idea of America.  Who would have thought this change could happen when five years ago diversity officers were storming through our institutions like Cossacks. Special shout out here to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Harmeet Dhillon, assistant attorney general for Civil Rights.

Border Czar Tom Homan. Crossings are down 95 percent.  Zero crossers have been released into America.  In addition, they have already located some 129,000 smuggled children, many of whom were involved in forced labor and sex trafficking. And despite massive resistance, both legal and illegal, from the Left, more than 2.5 million illegal aliens have been removed or self-deported from our country, many of whom had actively been involved in crime.

Crime.  The Real Time Crime Index, tracking 570 law enforcement agencies, reports 1,867 murders through October 2025—down 19.3% from 2,313 in 2024, the largest one-year plunge on record. Has anyone noticed?

Defunding Planned Parenthood.  The anti-life party, that would be the Democrats, were apoplectic.  Despite their teeny majorities the Senate and the House managed to pass the Big Beautiful Bill, in the process defunding NPR, PBS, and Planned Parenthood, major victories all. Critically, the Supreme Court with its three Trump-appointed justices upheld the defunding of Planned Parenthood.

Children protected.  The Supreme Court helped multiple states prevail in their war against the trans mania that has infested many liberal circles.

In addition, HHS honcho Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced, “Today we’re taking six decisive actions guided by gold standard science and the week one executive order from President Trump to protect children from chemical and surgical mutilation.”

Economy.  Need more good cheer? Here is the headline from the December 23 Wall Street Journal, “Consumers Power Strongest U.S. Economic Growth in Two Years, A long-delayed government report shows third-quarter GDP grew at an annual 4.3% rate.” Here is a New York Times headline from December 18, “Inflation Unexpectedly Slowed to 2.7% in November.”

Gavin Newsom.  A presidential aspirant once, Newsom was plagued by a wildfire of woes.  The biggest was probably the $68 billion deficit state deficit.  U-Haul’s have been heading out of state much faster than they have been heading in-state.  Major businesses have departed for greener pastures.  Newsom approval rating plunged by 27%.  One party rule has been shown to the world as a disaster.

James Comey.  No excitement without an indictment.  Comey’s indictment was dismissed on a technicality that was swiftly appealed.  In excruciating slow motion (to Comey), Comey has gone from righteous crusader for the truth into an object of derision.

Peace.  We took out Iran’s nuclear facilities in less than half an hour, which enabled us to bring something like peace to the Middle East. At least it is closer to peace in the Middle East than the world has been in a long time.  And we settled something like eight wars in countries most of us couldn’t find on a map.

Drugs.  We finally took action against the narco terrorists who have been poisoning our young and stupid with impunity. And we persuaded China to stop sending fentanyl components to Mexico.

Fraud.  Nick Shirley has become a household name because he created an amateurish video that exposed the deep rot within our welfare system.  The success of the video was its content not how well it was presented.

Charlie Kirk.  His assassination is a tragedy for all of humankind.  However, the aftermath exposed tens of thousands perhaps hundreds of thousands of evil people.  The funeral turned into a religious revival experience with many high profile individuals displaying their religious convictions publicly.  Hundreds of new TP-USA chapters formed almost overnight as many young people stood up and were counted.

Okay, admittedly, we haven’t got everything we wanted yet. But this is just a short list of the many accomplishments of this administration.  It will be interesting to see what 2026 brings.  2026 has certainly started off with a bang with the Venezuela escapade that deserves serious attention.
