Diversion…Part Two

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, has been at the forefront of smearing and denigrating ICE and their enforcement efforts in Minnesota.  Omar has called the U.S. government’s conduct on immigration enforcement to be like countries like Somalia that she left.

Omar said, “I don’t want to curse, but those of us who escaped places like that, the one place where we thought we would never experience this is the U.S. [sic] god—-” states.” Omar claimed that the Trump administration was kidnapping and disappearing people including American citizens.

“And we should all be ashamed that it is the United States that is allowing for this to take place, and it is being… broadcast to the rest of the world, where people are calling and saying, ‘Are you sure this is America?’ I am ashamed, and we must do everything that we can to bring back the America we all escaped into.”

And just how did Omar see this country that she escaped to?  Let’s be reminded that Somali is a very tribal country.  The culture there believes that it is okay to steal from other tribes.  And stealing is not limited to just material things.  Did Omar bring her tribal mentality to this country?  The hard-working US taxpayer would not be a member of her tribe.

Omar and her husband, Tim Mynett, (not the brother husband – the third husband) appear to be in hot water.  There are serious questions being raised about Omar’s net worth which has skyrocketed from $25,000 to $30 million in one year.

Recently, according to FOX Business Network, Ilhan and her husband announced that they own a $5 million winery.  The problem?  No one can find it.

FBN host Elizabeth MacDonald invited Steve Forbes on to discuss Ilhan’s net worth.

Elizabeth MacDonald:  Okay, that was for our left Congresswoman, Ilhan Omar, claiming the Justice Department and Congress probing her sudden skyrocketing wealth to $30 million in just one year, that they have a problem with her living the American dream. You heard her say the goddamn United States of America. We’ve got new questions on where she and her husband got all that money.

Joining us now, Forbes Media Chair, Editor-in-Chief Steve Forbes. Steve, new information coming in in Forbes magazine, your magazine has a report of this, too. That the state of Delaware and Washington, DC, canceled the registrations for Omar’s husband’s investment firm, Rose Lake, for not paying its back taxes. We saw it owed more than $400,000 to Delaware and nearly $1,800 to DC. She’s claiming it’s worth $25 million from less than a grand a year before. How can his investment firm not afford to pay taxes? It’s supposedly worth an estimated 75 million to 150 million. This is really weird stuff.

Steve Forbes:  Well, weird is not the word for it. There’s another word for it called crooked, and that’s why we have to have an investigation into this. As you know, the Biden administration started to examine her finances and that of her husband. And surprise, surprise, that investigation went nowhere. But it’s amazing how people can go into Congress and then become these entrepreneurial investing geniuses…

…She had under $1,000 of net worth, and her husband didn’t have much, and suddenly now they’re multimillionaires. Is there a money laundering operation here? And in terms of the firms themselves, they have a sketchy background, that winery in California that she and her husband own. Where did that come from? Where’s the wine there? And nobody can seem to find it. So there’s a lot of smelly stuff here. And that’s why in the American dream, her version of the American dream is the Al Capone version of the American dream, Tony Soprano version of the American Dream, and that is steal it, steal it from the taxpayers. And so there’s a lot of stuff here. And so when somebody cloaks themselves in the, Oh, the American dream… And, so you have numbers like this from minus $1,000 to $30, $40 million, you know something is not right.

The winery that Omar claims to own is called E Street LLC (ESTCRU) in California.  This is interesting in itself since I thought that alcohol was forbidden to Muslims.  According to reports, the business’s revenue has exploded from roughly $25,000 in 2025 to $5 million.

In the past, this kind of story would have been pursued by young ambitious reporters in some big city newspaper.  Today most of those media outlets couldn’t find such a story if it fell into their lap.  Independent journalists like Nick Shirley have become the source for investigations into such apparent evil.

independent journalist Angela Rose and an assistant decided to visit the principal address listed as Omar’s supposed winery. The name Punchdown Cellars is prominently displayed on the building.

Rose notices a letter in the window that says ESTCRU does not make wine at the location. In fact, they have not been clients of Punchdown Cellars for several years and have ceased operations.  The letter goes on to state that ESTCRU’s apparent operating address is due to federal and state filings.

If ESTCRU has ceased operations, how did the revenue grow to $5 million last year?  Rose’s suspicion is that the firm is just a money laundering scheme.  This would jive with the fact that appropriate wine licenses, etc. do not exist for ESTCRU.

Is this why Omar has been so virulent about the ICE operations in Minnesota?  Is Omar trying to set up a defense that she and her husband are political targets of the Trump administration due to their “upstanding” defense of criminals?  Is Omar trying to create a diversion so that the public will forget about the potential scam she and her husband are engaged in?
