Connect The Dots

Yesterday’s post talked about three indicted Mexican government officials who went to the border and turned themselves into US authorities.  They did this despite their own government saying they were innocent and providing protection for them.  (however good that might be).  Just saying.  Will this exodus to the US of these officials lead to an indictment of the Mexican President?  Asking for a friend.

Of course, as many people are aware, the ten Mexican officials who have been indicted are not the only foreign government officials to have this distinction.  Venezuelan Presidente Nicolas Maduro was arrested by the US government a few months back.  Currently he resides somewhere in Manhattan.  Is Maduro cooperating with the Feds?

Recently, the New York Times reported, “Zapatero, Spain’s Former Leader, Investigated for Graft.”  The globalist, pro-EU, anti-US, Davos/WEF politician was Spain’s socialist president between 2004 and 2011. He’s also close buddies with former Venezuelan ‘Presidente’ Nicolas Maduro.

Jeff Childers notes:

It’s historic. Zapatero is “the first former leader in Spain’s modern democratic history to face a criminal investigation.” Just like Trump in 2022. Makes you think, what?

The investigation concerns a covid-era airline bailout, in which Zapatero allegedly directed 1% of the billions in bailout money to himself through what we now recognize as the classic NGO money-laundering shell game. You might wonder what this case has to do with the United States. Hmm:

According to NBC, Spanish officials said that Homeland Security got data off the mobile device of one of Zapatero’s co-conspirators and gave it to Spanish officials. So … how did Homeland Security get the goods? The reportista didn’t say. Nobody’s saying.

Is there a canary somewhere in Manhattan?

And there’s more.  Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro’s alleged billionaire “bagman” was extradited to the US on Saturday.

Alex Saab, 54, a close ally to Maduro, was arrested in Caracas during a joint US-Venezuelan operation in February, according to a US law enforcement official.

Saab’s arrest and deportation suggest a new level of collaboration between American and Venezuelan law enforcement under the country’s acting President Delcy Rodriguez.

Then there is the arrest of Vick Ma.  Who is Vick Ma you might ask?  Vick Ma’s name was in an indictment that was made in October 2025 and was just recently unsealed.  Ma was arrested in April when he was about to board a flight from Paris to Hong Kong.

The target: 7 Chinese executives and 4 Chinese shipping container manufacturers — CIMC, Dong Fang, CXIC, and Singamas — companies that together control roughly 95% of the world’s standard dry shipping containers.  Ma is one of the seven.  The other six are still at large.

The charge: a coordinated pandemic-era cartel that, prosecutors allege, ran from November 2019 to at least January 2024. They cut shifts. They capped production. They installed 87 video cameras on 49 production lines so cartel members could spy on each other and prevent cheating. They refused to build new factories. And they sat back while container prices roughly doubled and the world’s supply chains buckled.

This cartel indictment is another dot on the map.  It was nice of them to provide the visual evidence for this case.  And BTW how many more secret indictments are waiting to be sprung?

The final note for this post although not the final event by a long shot is the indictment of Raul Castro for murdering four men who were flying a humanitarian flight in international waters.  This occurred in 1996.  The indictment was announced at Miami’s Freedom Tower and was on the anniversary of these men’s deaths.

What to make of all of this?

Are all of these cases unrelated?  Or is what we are seeing parts of a single, large-scale operation?

Jeff Childers:

What if snatching Maduro was only the beginning of a vast law enforcement operation sweeping up corrupt communists all over the Western Hemisphere, from Central and South America to southern Europe? A sweep that reaches the top levels of foreign governments and power structures, from Sinaloan governors to former Spanish presidents to Cuban strongmen to Colombian billionaires?

As usual, and perfectly appropriately, we don’t yet know what is going on. But it is perfectly obvious now that something is happening, and whatever it is, it’s big. It covers countries and continents. It spans throne rooms and boardrooms. It is making a whole lot of leftists feel more anxious than a blind cat in a room full of rocking chairs.

It may be time to load up on some popcorn.  It seems like the world is about to get very interesting.
