Winning

With the mid-terms approaching, one of the complaints that I hear from time to time is that PDJT has not done what he said he would do.  And that would be to drain the swamp.  Apparently, the lack of arrests of high-profile Democrats shows to the world that he is not keeping his promises, that he is just another smooth-talking politician who does not do what he said he would do.

This is astonishing.  PDJT has accomplished more in a year and a half than any other president ever did in four.  Of course, the PR arm of the Democratic Party, that would be Big Media, has ignored what has been accomplished.  It is time for true Americans to speak the truth since Republicans are apparently unable or unwilling to do so.

Here is a list of just four accomplishments out of a long list.  They barely scratch the surface. And yet each and every item here is a game-changer.  And this is not a list of potential successes.  These are real successes.

Let’s start with safety and sovereignty.

  1. He made the border a real border again.

In a matter of months, Trump reduced illegal border crossings to their lowest level in half a century. Catch-and-release is finished. The wall is going up and even being expanded, “Remain in Mexico” is back, and the Administration reduced releases into the country by an incredible 99.9 percent.

Biden had said over and over that he couldn’t do anything without additional legislation from Congress.  It turns out that what was needed was not new laws but a new President.

A side benefit of the border enforcement has been an historic reduction in the amount of fentanyl crossing the border.  This benefits the health and safety of everyday Americans.

At the same time, this administration has revoked over 100,000 visas for fraud, criminal activity, or other security concerns, and revoked Temporary Protected Status for hundreds of thousands from countries like Somalia, Venezuela, and Haiti.  Temporary protected status (TPS) was never intended to be permanent.  The Democrats saw TPS as a way to keep illegals in the country and expand the Democrats’ ability to commit fraud during election cycles.

  1. He reversed mass migration.

America recorded negative net migration in 2025 for the first time in at least half a century. So far, nearly 3 million illegal aliens have left the country, whether voluntarily or involuntarily: more than 675,000 forcibly deported and the rest “self-deported.” All large metro areas saw net immigration cratering.

Many of the self-deportations were facilitated by the President’s innovative program to offer plane tickets and cash bonuses for illegals to leave, not only incentivizing good behavior but significantly reducing the cost of deportations. Despite the best efforts of woke judges, the law actually means something again.

The American people voted for a secure border and a sovereign nation. President Trump is keeping that promise.

  1. He signed the Laken Riley Act — and required detention of criminal illegal aliens.

Named for an innocent girl murdered by an illegal alien, the Laken Riley Act requires federal authorities to detain illegals arrested for theft, burglary, shoplifting, assaulting police, or any crime causing death or serious injury. It also lets states sue officials who refuse to enforce it.

Laken Riley should still be alive. This law will prevent tragedies like hers.

There are a countless number of people who would be alive today if our border laws had been enforced.  The Democrats would not do this because they need the people to be hollering for more government not less.  Allowing violent criminals to remain in the country fortified their talking points about government oversight.

  1. History’s biggest drop in violent crime, lowest rate in 126 years.

According to FBI data, violent crime in America dropped an incredible 9.7 percent in 2025 — the largest one-year decline in history. Murder fell 18.1 percent, robbery fell 18.5 percent. And America’s violent crime rate is its lowest since 1900.

This is what happens when you put the National Guard on the streets in crime-ridden blue cities: fewer victims, safer streets, and better futures for America’s poorest.  Perhaps one of the starkest examples of this was in DC itself.  For the first time in many years people felt safe walking on the streets of the nation’s capital.

The decline does not mean the threat of violent crime has disappeared. However, the 2025 decrease that stands apart in the Bureau’s nearly 90-year history of national crime estimates.

This is just a beginning.  There will be a continuing report card on this administration during the days and weeks ahead.  My thanks to Rod Martin for his insights.
