Rep. Ralph Norman has written a lengthy piece on the problems in Washington. Norman is one of the people opposing Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House. His enunciation of his concerns tells just how bad the situation is in Washington that only twenty Republicans have the balls to stand up and speak out.
Tucker Carlson went to Arizona and delivered a speech to AmFest. The truth of what he says is striking even if he takes 30 minutes to say it. In part of Tucker’s unscripted remarks, a discussion about this current moment in the lifecycle of life’s storms and cultural chaos, Carlson noted his need to go silent for a few days and reflect on the bigger picture of our situation. Neil Oliver has gone and done it. Oliver says out loud what many of us have been thinking.
Oliver’s monologue this week discusses the logical consequences of the current state of political affairs not only in the U.K but also in most western countries including the United States. It is rather remarkable in this era of fearmongering about domestic extremism, to see an important voice on a Big Media outlet bravely talking about what appears to be the inevitable end that is coming.
The World Economic Forum is causing companies to consider abandoning European manufacturing sites because it has become too expensive to manufacture goods there. Essentially, western governments following the insane “Build Back Better” climate change agenda are making it very expensive to conduct operations in Europe. This is due to the escalating cost of energy.
Kari Lake, the political newcomer who is leading the race for Governor in Arizona, has been labeled “worse than Trump.” This is because she speaks the truth and does not turn the other cheek when attacked. She also stands up for America and its values. On Friday, Lake once again showed her “worse than Trump” side.
For voters with eyes wide open, voting has become a crap shoot. It appears that all Democrats have converted to taking care of themselves without any regard for the public. Voting for one puts the entire country at risk. Voting for someone on the other side of the aisle, in other words a Republican, has its own risks. Too many in Washington have become UniParty loyalists. And that is also problematic. Then there are the social consequences of being identified as a MAGA Republican voter.
The great divide in America is not between lefties and righties. The divide is between the governed and the government.
Our politicians are just grubby money men out of touch with the country. And that brings me to the January 6 obsession in Washington.
Food inflation is in the double-digits. It costs $100 now to fill up a pickup truck. Baby formula and tampons are in short supply. Soon we may be unable to fuel the trucks that deliver our goods and that includes food. The stock market is tanking. Poverty has come for many due to the insane lockdowns of the recent COVID era and it is just around the corner for many others. Drug overdose deaths now top 100,000 a year. Millions of terrorists, gangbangers and other illegal aliens have flooded in under Biden and been sent across the country.
So what do the Democratic elites in Congress do? Congress hires a former ABC executive to put together a TV extravaganza on J6. Are you kidding me? Just how out of touch are these people?

“This ugly reality will affect the elections this fall, probably far more than the political class understands. Why? Because they never take the time to walk down a street like Cedar Avenue and ask how it is going. More importantly, they take for granted that they will always have the voters they have always had, never realizing most people have a breaking point.”
Let’s hope this is true.
This is not the usual diplomatic nuance that one almost always sees when foreign leaders come together. Canadian PM Justin Trudeau was called a dictator in front of the entire European Union over how he handled the peaceful protestors of the Freedom Convoy.
The following is from an interview with a reporter who had been on the ground with the truckers in Ottawa.
Hochman: I got here late Sunday afternoon, got into Ottawa and settled Sunday evening. And I went out and just checked out the convoy that night.
And things are a lot more crowded on the weekends than they are during the week, so I only caught the back end of the really crazy weekend, which is when you have thousands and thousands of protesters streaming into the city. But I’ve been there since then and I’ve been talking to a lot of the folks on the ground and it’s just the core group of truckers, which is still hundreds and hundreds of people.
And it’s amazing, these people are, I think, patriots in the most authentic sense of the term. They’re weathering not just insane cold temperatures and sleeping in their trucks to fight for their freedoms, but also now a full-on frontal assault from their federal and provincial governments.
So I have nothing but respect for these guys. They’re some of the kindest people that I’ve ever met. And I don’t say that just because of my ideological priors. I went into this supporting the cause, but thinking that maybe a lot of these guys were going to be kooks and crazies, and that’s not the case. These are really decent, fundamentally good people who are fighting for their basic freedoms and their rights and their way of life. And it’s a really wonderful thing.
Dr. Tom Woods recently pointed out two things. First, more and more of the people who have credentials are speaking out at last about the COVID fiasco. The media’s ability to silence everyone who opines against the government’s narratives is slipping away. Second, vindication has come to some public figures who stood up and spoke out early for the people.
