Leftist Insanity

      No Comments on Leftist Insanity

The absolute insanity of the Covington Catholic High School debacle continues.  For those with short memories, the media out and out lied about the Lincoln Memorial incident. A Catholic high school group, who were waiting for their bus after attending the annual March for Life, was the targets of two groups of leftist racists.  These racists insulted them with all kinds of despicable slurs. This went on for over an hour.  The kids responded with good-natured school-spirit chants, attempting to drown out the belligerent taunts. They didn’t respond with insults or any physical aggression of their own. They would have made Martin Luther King, Jr. proud by how they conducted themselves.  When the busses arrived, they departed.  We know what the media reported. ...

Democratic Supporter Calls For School To Be Burned Down

The potential for violence against anyone who might remotely be opposed to leftist views escalated on Saturday in Washington, DC.  As was pointed out yesterday, a group of teenage boys from a Catholic high school in Kentucky had regrouped near the Lincoln Memorial after their participation in the March For Life.

As Taylor Day pointed out:

March For Life

No Comments on March For Life

This weekend saw the annual March For Life in Washington.  There were other marches this past weekend but they paled in comparison to the importance of the March For Life.  Tens of thousands of people descended on Washington in the face of an approaching severe winter storm.  They marched to protect the rights of those who cannot speak for themselves.  They marched to protect the rights of the unborn.

Hoping For A Long Gov’t Shutdown

Comments Off on Hoping For A Long Gov’t Shutdown

The government shutdown continues.  I, for one, hope that it continues for a long time.  A few years back, Washington was shut down for a week due to a blizzard.  Nobody noticed.  Not that I wish difficulties for those not receiving a paycheck.  I certainly empathize with those families who must make difficult financial decisions. Rather a long shutdown would demonstrate what services we really need from the Federal Government and what we do not need.  It would show everyone just how bloated the government is.  I wonder if the left realizes what might happen if the shutdown lasts a long time. ...

NBC Reporter Breaks From The Party Line

NBC & MSNBC News veteran correspondent William Arkin announced his resignation effective Friday over what he described as “Trump circus” reporting that is increasingly favored over real journalism.

Arkin is no supporter of PDJT.  However, he said part of his reason for leaving was the network’s obsession with opposing the president at every turn.  In particular, Arkin, who is anti-war, notes that the MSM automatically oppose any and all peace initiatives coming from PDJT.  He indicates that the MSM have become little more than mouthpieces for the warfare state. ...

Will The Flynn Case Be Mueller’s Undoing?

Comments Off on Will The Flynn Case Be Mueller’s Undoing?

Will the Michael Flynn case be the undoing of Mueller and his band of #NeverTrumpers?  More info trickled out today that showed that it took three weeks for the interview notes (FD-302) to be approved by Andrew McCabe.  This was a long time for a simple transcription of the results of an interview.  It certainly appears that McCabe had some hand in shaping how the interview was put down on paper.

While not completely clear, it also appears that the second agent’s notes have yet to be produced.  This appears to be in violation of the judge’s order to produce such items for his review. Gregg Re reported: ...

Has France Ignited Europe’s Arab Spring?

Comments Off on Has France Ignited Europe’s Arab Spring?

Over the weekend some 125,000 people across France donned yellow safety jackets. They rallied against President Emmanuel Macron and the high cost of living in France. In Paris, armored vehicles and almost ten thousand police tried to contain the demonstrators.

Many famous Paris tourist spots were locked down during a fourth weekend of protests. Almost 1400 people were arrested and dozens of people were injured. Because of the increased police presence there appeared to be fewer outbreaks of mass violence that had plagued Paris on previous weekends.

Campus Free Speech

Comments Off on Campus Free Speech

As I discussed in a post last week, political correctness is about rigidity of thinking.  The idea is to censor people’s thinking along fairly rigid and specific lines. By not allowing thinking that is outside the box, the hope is to control the ways people see what is around them. In other words this is a method to alter people’s perception of reality.

If a person dares to speak/think outside accepted norms, the left will label him/her.  The form of that label will be will depend on the circumstances that surround the stepping outside the box.  The label will present the individual as a deplorable.  They may call the person a racist, a sexist, a homophobe, an islamophobe, etc.  Whatever it will be, it will be such as to present the person as evil in some way.

In this day and age there is no area of American life with more rigidity of thinking than on our college campuses.  The fact is that 1 in 6 of America’s 400 top colleges have “free speech zones.”  “Free speech zones”—the name sounds good, right? The sad truth is that free speech zones are far from free. Many college campuses restrict free speech solely to these areas, meaning that the rest of campus is not open for expression.  Not only that but many of the so-called free speech zones have unduly restrictive regulations on their use which include pre-registration, limited use and limited areas.

Tijuana

      Comments Off on Tijuana

Over the weekend 500 to 1000 migrants from Central America decided to try to invade the country from Tijuana.  The showdown at the San Diego-Tijuana border crossing has contrasted two competing narratives about the caravan of migrants hoping to come into America but stuck on the Mexican side. Some see them as a threat to U.S. national security.  Others insist that they are primarily women and children fleeing violence.

So what was the truth? There are women and children in the caravan.  But, they are a minority.  The U.S. Border Patrol’s top agent in the San Diego region said the migrants used some women and children as human shields as they hurled rocks and debris at officers guarding a fence. ...
