Thomas Matthew Crooks

Comments Off on Thomas Matthew Crooks

Just what is going on around the identity of Thomas Matthew Crooks?  Who was he?  What was his identity?  There is almost no data out there about him.  And the Community Relations Service (CRS) of the DOJ has taken over the release of any information regarding him and the events of 7-13.

Presidential Immunity Insights

At first, I thought overturning Chevron Deference may be one of the most historic decisions in the history of the Supreme Court (SCOTUS).  And I still feel that way.  However, the deeper I dig into the presidential immunity ruling (which BTW is steeped in precedent), the more I see this decision having huge ramifications as well.  Unelected bureaucrats beware!

Massive Win For J6ers

The Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) has overturned the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) use of 1512(c)(2), a statute pertaining to obstruction of an official proceeding, in cases related to the events of January 6th (J6).  This ruling is a major win for those political prisoners.   It is also a significant setback for the Biden regime.

Gaetz Gets Garland

Comments Off on Gaetz Gets Garland

Congressman Matt Gaetz cuts across the UniParty grain at key moments.  Perhaps Tuesday was another example of this.  As Sundance notes, the better part of good public questioning is not just what question is asked, but also how the question is asked.

Lawfare Blasted

      Comments Off on Lawfare Blasted

An interesting story has emerged from the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals.  The 11th Circuit handles appeals from courts that currently include Judge Cannon’s court that is handling the Mar-a-Lago documents case.

The lawfare leadership of Norm Eisen, Mary McCord, Andrew Weissmann and other members of the Lawfare community have been waging an open media campaign against Florida Judge Aileen Cannon because, in the Jack Smith documents case, Judge Cannon is not giving them what they want.

In essence, Chief Judge William Pryor has told the lawfare people who are trying to cancel Judge Cannon to go “take a hike” or perhaps something more profane.  Judge Pryor, of course, used polite legal language to convey this message.

Sundance over at CTH has an interesting post on Jack Smith’s lawfare scheme.

As a review, lawfare is the use of legal systems and institutions to damage or delegitimize an opponent, or to deter an individual’s usage of their legal rights.  The term may refer to the use of legal systems and principles against an enemy, such as by damaging or delegitimizing them, wasting their time and money. Alternatively, it may describe a tactic used by repressive regimes to label and discourage civil society or individuals from claiming their legal rights via national or international legal systems.  It also may be used to score public relations wins.

Judge Merchan fines President Trump for delivering pizzas to firemen

“This is clearly a forbidden reference to PizzaGate. What Adam and I do on the weekends is nobody’s business,” said the jurist, referring to his employer Rep. Adam Schiff, a “small black olive”- guy.

Guilty conscience?

Avenatti Says ‘It Was A Shakedown’

Comments Off on Avenatti Says ‘It Was A Shakedown’

Stormy Daniels’ former attorney, Michael Avenatti, has tweeted from prison accusing a key prosecution witness of lying in the New York hush money trial against former President Donald Trump.

Avenatti tweeted, “Keith Davidson is lying. After I confronted her w/ her own text msgs, Daniels admitted to me in early 2019 that she & Davidson had extorted Trump in Oct. 2016 – it was a shakedown. This was one of the many reasons I fired her as a client in Feb. 2019.”

DOJ Pays Gymnasts $138 Million

Comments Off on DOJ Pays Gymnasts $138 Million

The egregious misconduct of the FBI continues to go unpunished.  In 2021 the DOJ Inspector General condemned FBI conduct in the rape and sexual assault of U.S. Gymnasts.  The IG report revealed that FBI agents facilitated Larry Nassar’s sex crimes by taking no action despite numerous witness statements to them.  And the FBI did not report the sexual assaults to local law enforcement either.

Odds & Ends

Bidenomics also known as Obamanomics, at work.  Homebuyers need to earn 80% more than in 2020 to afford a house in this market. It’s not just due to high mortgage rates. Factors beyond high mortgage rates are affecting housing affordability for many Americans, according to experts.

Almost four years ago, a household earning $59,000 annually could afford a new mortgage without spending more than 30% of their monthly income and with a 10% down payment, according to a recent report by Zillow Group. That is no longer the case today.
