There have been multiple videos posted on social media of persons being detained, placed into unmarked vehicles and whisked away. High level Democrats have called the detaining of suspects something akin to kidnapping or worse.

The Washington Post has settled the lawsuit brought by Nicholas Sandmann over the incident involving an activist who tried to provoke a group of Catholic high school teenagers. Details of the settlement were not announced. It is likely to be in the tens of millions.

Masks Do Not Work

In California one month after the Governor dictatorially ordered all state residents to wear masks in most settings, the average daily number of new coronavirus cases in the state has increased by over 160%. According to the governor’s order, there is “scientific evidence to suggest that use of cloth face coverings by the public during a pandemic could help reduce disease transmission.” Well at least it said “could” help. Clearly it has not.

Mayor Wheeler has lost all sense of his responsibilities to the city of Portland. Wednesday night Mayor Ted Wheeler, who has allowed mayhem to take over his city, marched with the rioters and stood by while Antifa tried to tear down the gate to the federal courthouse. All the while Wheeler was trying to blame the Feds for the problems he created. Wheeler is the light-haired man with the goggles.

Because of this, we sometimes forget about the tremendous goodness that exists in this country. I had the privilege of hearing this young man sing in 2011 when he was 10 years old. Portland has been a breeding ground for Antifa and other violent groups for many years. As noted yesterday, it is now a live experiment to see just how far Antifa, BLM and others can go before the local government will step in to stop them. It seems that, so far, there is little that the anarchists can do that will prompt the Marxist mayor to say enough. And forget about the bought-and-paid-for Soros Governor.
