1st Amendment

As the elections draw closer, it is a good time to reflect on the liberties and rights that we enjoy in America.  The most fundamental of all the rights that we enjoy is contained in the 1st Amendment.

The most fundamental section of the 1st Amendment is the religious clause.  Essentially this clause gives each American freedom of thought.  You can choose whichever religion you want or you can choose not to believe.  It is up to you.  You cannot be coerced and the government cannot punish you for the selection you make.

As noted at Cornell Law:

How did the “free exercise of religion” clause fare when the Democrats were in power?  As noted over at Mario Murillo Ministries, President Obama was “America’s Most Biblically-Hostile US President.”  Looking at just his 1st term, the following acts of hostility toward people of biblical faith stand out:

There were many more acts of hostility toward biblical values and people of biblical faith throughout his administration.  In addition, there are many examples of preferential treatment for Islam’s activities over people of biblical faith.

If the Democrats return to power in Washington, we can expect to see an escalation of activities like those above.  We will once again see a systematic suppression of the people’s inalienable rights.  If the Democrats succeed in getting away with this, then, by corollary, all rights flow from the government and, as such, can be revoked by the government if it so pleases. Totalitarian government will be the norm.  If your view of life is in favor with those in charge, you will prosper.  If not, you will rot.

Do we want a totalitarian form of government?  If so, then vote Democratic on November 6th.  If we want to move the country further toward the ideal that our forefathers envisioned, then one must vote Republican. At least while PDJT is President, we will have a chance to reclaim our country.
