The Big Lie

Steve McCann over at American Thinker has written a very insightful piece about “The Big Lie.”  In it he talks about the incessant chattering of the MSM and Democrats that PDJT had acted illegally and unethically in winning the 2016 election.  The accusations were ridiculous as the Mueller Report demonstrated.  However, eventually this “Big Lie” was believed by a majority of Americans and by almost all Democrats.  This has led to violence being committed against PDJT’s supporters time and again.

Another writer has noted,

But with regards to Mr. McCann’s fine article, the “progressive” left is the French Reign of Terror in the making. Gustav Le Bon wrote about “The Crowd” and “The Psychology of Revolution” that explains both the Reign of Terror and today’s “progressive” revolutionaries. Le Bon posited that the members of the mob who lopped off noble’s and aristocrat’s heads would not even deign to contemplate such atrocities on their own, so why would they do so in a ‘crowd.”

It is today’s “progressive” mob behavior that results from cowardice and fear. If Robespierre whipped the mob into a frenzy demanding “Off with his Head,” each individual would know what ole Max demanded and most would reject it if he was not among others in the mob. Any man who were to speak out against Robespierre did not know how each of the other men thought or would act. So by objecting to the mobbing of the perceived enemy, they risked the mob turning on them. So one might quietly acquiesce or better yet, show support and one will not be mobbed by the mob.

This is exactly what “Political Correctness” is. When one objects to Osama Obama, AOC or Maximilian Waters calls for “Off with Constitutionalist’s Heads,” the other Party Members and MSM rush to mob the alleged enemy so they ensure that they are not mobbed by the mob.

As McCann notes, the progressive left and the Democratic Party have evolved into a combined entity trying to assume power using but one tactic, “The Big Lie” as described by Walter C. Langer in 1943.
