The farce going on in the Senate has reached the stage where Senators can ask questions. First, a Democrat. Then, a Republican. On and on ad nauseum. After this ridiculousness is over (will it really last two days?), the Senate will decide on whether to call witnesses.
This is another end run around the Constitution by the Democrats. The Dems want the Senate to call witnesses that they refused to call and/or subpoena. The Dems knew they would lose in court if they tried to enforce a subpoena on witnesses they wanted to depose. Pelosi wanted to do impeachment by decree not have her caucus go on record with a vote. Now they want the Senate to do what would have caused them to lose in federal court.
Part of the thrust here is to try to make the House the superior branch of government, not a co-equal branch as defined in the Constitution. The Dems want to be able to threaten impeachment when the judiciary or the executive branch will not bow down to them. Just as they did with abortion, the Democrats want to change impeachment from something rare and unusual into something commonplace and ordinary. If they are in any way successful with this approach, the Dems will stop at nothing to wreak havoc on our constitutional framework of government.
Justice Kavanaugh will be impeached. Just as PDJT has been threatened with impeachment from the day he won the election, there have already been many calls for Kavanaugh’s impeachment from the day he won confirmation. Jerry Nadler was overheard on a phone conversation calling for plans to do this.
Recently Nadler had called for more investigations into misconduct by Kavanaugh. Supposedly new details had surfaced about items debunked during the confirmation hearings.
Lately the overhang of impending indictments by Barr and US Attorney Durham prompted more calls for a Kavanaugh impeachment.
This has also been an item on the campaign trail. Multiple Democratic candidates have called for his impeachment. These include Kamala Harris, Julian Castro, and Elizabeth Warren.
Just as with the farcical impeachment of President Trump now underway, all of this is without substance. All of it is because the Democrats’ plans to turn the country into a Marxist state were trashed when PDJT won the election. The Democrats and their allies in the media do not want their corrupt schemes (start in the Ukraine) to be exposed to the light of day.
Why do all of this? Why not just re-trench and try to win an election? The problem is the corruption is bigger than any common person could imagine. The Democrats are trying to blunt any indictment for corruption as being political retaliation.
And, do not be surprised to see it reach across the aisle in some places. While most of the sociopaths are located in the Democratic Party not all of them are.

Yes, $156 BILLION! This paternity suit threatens to bring sunlight to very substantial evidence of corruption. Just who and how many were on the receiving end of this scheme?
One has to wonder just how much of this evidence Rudy Giuliani has in his possession. When will the DOJ bring the hammer down on these evil people? It’s time to drain the swamp.
