Truth, Justice and Liberty

Wow! What a week it was!  John Fitzgerald Kennedy would not recognize the party he once led.  The Democrats have abandoned any and all obligations to truth, justice and liberty.  The Democrats showed the nation how incompetent, petulant and childish they are.

On Monday the Democrats demonstrated that they could not run a caucus in a small state (Iowa) and have the results reported in a timely fashion.  They blamed the problem on “technical issues” in the reporting software.  This software had been developed by some Clinton operatives from the 2016 election.  It was funded in part by Pete Buttigieg, one of the candidates.

This incident was a rerun of the launch of the Obamacare exchanges.  Then, throwing oodles of money at friends of the administration resulted in a system that was useless.  The same thing was true here as they eventually had to revert to a paper trail to get an accurate count.

Others within the Democratic field saw something different.  Sanders’ supporters saw this as a transparent attempt to once again rig the primary against Bernie Sanders.  The delay helped obscure the fact that Joe Biden’s candidacy is now dropping like a stone.  Until just days before the caucus Biden had supposedly been a frontrunner.

It took five whole days to report the results.  Less than 5% of the state’s population had voted.  At the end the AP refused to declare a winner due to “irregularities” in the vote count.

Lost in the narrative of incompetency and election rigging was the fact that Democratic turnout was down 30%.  This presidential election cycle is supposed to be one with a hyped-up Democratic base.  This was not visible on Monday and does not bode well for whoever is the Democratic candidate in November.

On Tuesday the President gave his State of the Union (SOTU) address.  It recounted the incredible number of things this administration has accomplished.  It was uplifting in every respect.  Andrea Widburg reported,

I am sure that if Nancy Pelosi felt she could get away with it, she would not have had the President in to give the annual SOTU address.  Of course, part of PDJT’s speech was a request for four more years just as every other President has done from time to time over the years.

There are so many highlights that it is difficult to choose “the best.”  Coupled with the fact that it is an election year, these seem to stand out.

School Choice.  Poorer Americans, many of them minorities, are harmed disproportionately when forced to send their children to failing schools.  There is inequality in educational choice when the rich can choose where to send their children to school and the poor cannot. As the president noted, “no parent should be forced to send their child to a failing government school.”  The Democrats will continue to defend the indefensible because of the money they receive from the teachers’ unions.  Having a young girl there to receive an educational scholarship was a master stroke by the Trump administration.  One can expect to see this idea of school choice trumpeted by the re-election campaign.

Murder of Unborn Children.  Nobody can convince me that abortion is anything other than the murder of an unborn child.  America was founded on a culture of life. Abortion denies an American life and liberty. The Democrats cheer the deaths of babies.  President Trump has emerged as the most pro-life President since Roe v Wade.

All lives have value.  Christopher Duffley was born at 26 weeks to a drug-addicted mother.  He is blind and autistic.  Christopher was adopted by his aunt and uncle.  He did not speak until the 1st grade.   See the video for the value he brings.

No one has the right to murder an unborn child.  Credit the President’s team for highlighting the life of someone who was born at 21 weeks, 6 days.

Favoring illegals over Americans.  This issue probably demonstrates Democrat idiocy at its most extreme.  The idea of sanctuary jurisdictions and free health care for illegals is just plain idiotic.  Yet the Democrats have consistently taken this position.  Democratic jurisdictions release illegals who are charged with rape and murder back onto the streets to endanger law-abiding Americans. This has created a fundamental divide between Republicans and Democrats, best viewed as pro-American and anti-American.

Perhaps the best line of the speech was

“In just three short years, we have shattered the mentality of American decline, and we have rejected the downsizing of America’s destiny.”

As I said, it was uplifting in all respects.

Throughout all of this the Democrats sat on their hands.  They demonstrated the axiom that if someone or something is connected to President Trump, it is not worthy of recognition or praise.  If Trump says “Yes,” they say “No.”  How does their sitting on their hands reflect truth, justice and liberty?  This childishness was just the beginning of the idiocy of the night.

At the end of the speech Speaker Nancy Pelosi allowed her hatred of PDJT to lead her to a complete mental meltdown.  Pelosi tore up a copy of the speech on national television.  This led to an explosive backlash on social media with Democrats saying they were leaving the party over this.

It got even worse for Pelosi when, later in the week, the social media giants refused to take down a video of her doing this.

On Wednesday the Senate put an end to the farce that was billed as an impeachment.  This was nothing but an attempt to rewrite history and undo the will of the American people.  Despite unending and repetitious theatrics, the Democrats’ impeachment managers failed to prove their case.  The only case they seemed to prove was the one showcasing their own incompetence.

The President was impeached for doing his job.  At the real heart of the impeachment was the unspoken notion embraced by Democrats and the mainstream media that Republicans are evil and Democrats are noble.

This impeachment attempt was a blatant abuse of power.  This was an attempt by the Democrats to change our government from one with three co-equal branches to one where the legislative branch was superior.  The President’s popularity rose throughout the process.  It reached a new high on the day he was acquitted.

After tens of thousands of pages of documents and seventeen witnesses in Adam Schiff’s star chamber proceeding, the Democrats were reduced to trying to redefine the word “acquitted.”  They are saying that the President was not acquitted because the trial was “rigged.”  Senator Hirono (D-HI) led the charge.

Hirono made this absurd statement,

“No, Wolf. He wasn’t acquitted. It was a rigged trial.  You don’t get acquitted when you don’t even get to call witnesses or relevant witnesses or have the documents because the president stonewalled all efforts on behalf of the House to get the information they requested. So there you go! It was a rigged trial.”

This is the same Senator who was quoted as saying she didn’t “care about what nice, legal, constitutional defenses they came up with” just days before the vote.

Rigged it was but not in the way Senator Hirono was saying.  However, it was nice of her to bring the “rigging” of the proceeding back into the American consciousness.  It certainly appears that TDS is hard at work with this Senator.

Justice was served when this farce was ended.  However, it was ended without any Democratic Senator standing up for truth and justice.

On Thursday President Trump went on the offensive beginning with remarks at the National Prayer breakfast with Speaker Pelosi sitting in attendance.

PDJT called the top Democrats as ‘very evil and sick people.’  He called out the hypocritical nature of certain Democrats who hide behind religion as an excuse for their actions when they know full well that what they are doing is evil and wrong.  Trump called out the reprehensible schemes of the Democrats for what they are, an attack on the very foundations of our country.

Also on Thursday the Labor Department released January’s statistics.   225,000 jobs were gained in January; non-supervisory wage growth again exceeds supervisory at 3.2%; and 185,000 workers re-entered the workforce.  It should also be noted that almost all of these are full-time positions as contrasted with the part-time gains that were the norm during the Obama administration.  The 225,000 new jobs far exceeded expectations. Economists were looking for 160,000.

So, the economy continues to hum despite Democratic efforts to create a recession.  These excellent jobs results are without the domestic investment expected to be occur through the USMCA manufacturing realignment.  As manufacturing companies shift their investment towards North America, economic growth and increasing jobs numbers should continue.

Economist Joseph Lavorgna notes,

Additionally the White House announced the elimination of Qasim al-Rimi, an al Qaeda terrorist leader, who was responsible for violence against uncounted number of civilians over the years.  He was responsible for the attack of the Pensacola Naval Air Station.  As President Trump noted in his SOTU speech on Tuesday,

On Friday the Vindman twins were escorted out of the White House and “returned” to their units.  By his own testimony it appears Vindman forgot that the current Commander in Chief doesn’t take orders from a “Lt. Colonel.”

Donald Trump, Jr. took the opportunity to thank Adam Schiff for helping to identify those who needed to leave the employ of the White House.

Friday was also a Democratic debate night although not that many people were watching.  It was a chance for the seven candidates on stage to rescue what had been a horrible week for the Democrats.  Or at least, perhaps, they could ameliorate the damage that was mostly self-inflicted.

How did that work out?

James Carville, a Democratic political strategist, said, “We are losing our damn minds.”  Oops.  I guess he didn’t think much of the debate performance.

Over on ABC News, the host for this debate, the thinking wasn’t much different.

First, Martha Raddatz asked Vega, “Did, in your mind, anyone prove they could beat Donald Trump?”  Vega couldn’t muster the courage to dishonestly say “Yes.”

Raddatz then changed course.   She asked Byron Pitts, “And Byron, do you think anybody — or who did it best, in that way, to prove to voters that they could beat Donald Trump?”

Pitts’ response: “Frankly, I don’t think anyone did a great job of it.”

Ouch!

Finally she asks Jon Karl,

“And Jon Karl just very quickly, I’ve got about 30 seconds here: Who do you think stood out in terms of going after Donald Trump?”

Karl’s response: “I don’t think there was anybody based on tonight’s performance that has the Trump campaign quaking in their boots.”

Double ouch!

Of course, by this week, the lame stream media will undoubtedly be gushing about how well the candidates performed on Friday.  However, on Friday none of the candidates stood up for truth, justice and liberty.  The members of the ABC News Team who hosted the debate were so utterly crushed by reality that they couldn’t find the energy to dishonestly say otherwise.

All in all, it was a great week for PDJT.  And truth, justice and liberty were well served as well.
