On Monday, Joe Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee for President, showed once again that he has lost command of his basic faculties. As reported by David Knowles of Yahoo News, Joe Biden said that police under attack in the line of duty should shoot their assailants “in the leg instead of the heart” as a way to avert the killing of civilians.
“Instead of standing there and teaching a cop, when there’s an unarmed person coming at them with a knife or something, you shoot them in the leg instead of in the heart is a very different thing. There’s a lot of different things that could change.”
Ignoring the mortal danger that an officer would be in, let’s parse this for a moment. Joe Biden is calling a person who is attacking a law enforcement officer with a knife as “unarmed.” On what planet is this true? In what alternate reality is this true?
Will we now see this concept echoed on CNN and MSNBC that a person wielding a knife in an attack on another, be it a police officer or someone else, is unarmed? Perhaps, if they are attacking a Republican.
Besides being a bad idea, (shooting in the leg), the idea that a knife-wielding person is unarmed is absolute lunacy. And this man aspires to be President of the United States.

Joe Biden has a history of saying dumb things about guns. This one that incorporates the idea that a person is unarmed if they are coming at you with a knife tops the list.
God help the country if he gets anywhere near the Presidency.
