It’s about time.
Since all this rioting and looting started, we’ve been inundated with crap about police. Spineless politicians, bobbleheads in the MSM and so-called leaders of Black Lives Matter have led the way in insulting the police, describing them as brutal and out of control. Led by Sens. Cory Booker and Kamala Harris, speeches have been given implying that that the police are mass murderers, determined to wipe out large swaths of America’s black population.
This is a big lie. It’s a total and complete fabrication that has permeated our society like a cancer. Young “woke” progressives have bought into this fake narrative and have been induced to hurl bricks, filled water bottles and whatever else they could lay their hands on at police who were lawfully performing their duties.
In NYC someone finally has the guts to stand up and say what a lot of cowardly politicians across the country have been unwilling to say. Mike O’Meara, the president of the New York Police Benevolent Association, gave a speech the other day. This may be the first time we have heard from a police representative who is not a politician.
It is clear that O’Meara does not have to suck up to anybody to keep his job. O’Meara is proud of the work that the NYPD does. Contrary to what some police chiefs have done, O’Meara has taken the high ground. O’Meara does not try to appease those who want to be free to commit mayhem on the public.
Thank you, Mike O’Meara for standing up for the overwhelming number of good cops in the NYPD and around the country.
