Portland Continues to Supply Insights

As many people know at this point, federal law enforcement officers have gone undercover in Portland.  There have been multiple videos posted on social media of persons being detained, placed into unmarked vehicles and whisked away.  High level Democrats have called the detaining of suspects something akin to kidnapping or worse.

Pelosi has never used such harsh language to describe the terrorists who have been destroying cities, looting, burning, raping and murdering Americans.  Now she wants to compare law enforcement officers to the Nazis.  This is beyond disgusting.

The usual references to peaceful protesters, a little graffiti and the First Amendment were part and parcel of the Democrats’ proclamations about these actions by Federal officers.  “Peaceful protesters” have caused an estimated $23 million dollars in damage in Portland at this point in time.  Some federal officers may be permanently blinded from attacks with lasers by Antifa and BLM.

This tweet shows one such event where an individual is detained.  Please note that POLICE is clearly visible on their uniforms.  Less clear but visible is a shoulder patch identifying the organization.

This was clearly an undercover operation.  They were looking for someone specific.  All law enforcement does this kind of operation regularly.  In this case they found the person they were looking for.  Whether this was a suspect or a known associate of a suspect is unknown from this video.

However, this individual has the same rights as any American.  He will be mirandized before questioning.  There is no requirement to do so at the scene.  Given the tendency of Antifa and BLM to become violent when people are removed from a scene, this is clearly the least violent tactic for doing so.  No one was injured in the detaining of this individual.

What is more interesting about this encounter is the young woman who is heard on the video.  She asks for and gets the young man’s name.  Then she says “We’ll get you out.”  This is an obvious reference to posting bail.

Very likely the van was equipped with video cameras that are capable of doing facial recognition.  As the officers walked the individual to the van, anyone who turned to watch this, had their face recorded.  Assuming this is so, this woman will be identified from her driver license photo.  The officers know that she has some connection to the organization that is posting bail for these individuals.  This will be tracked.

This is standard operating procedure for the Feds.  It is all part of the anti-racketeering laws.  Follow the money.  Electronic money transfers will be identified.  This will provide a “roadmap” into the lower levels of the Antifa/BLM organizations.  Hopefully this will lead upward to the bigger players.

Oregon’s AG has tried to curtail some of the activities of federal law enforcement.  However, undercover vans will continue to be used regardless of what happens in the courts.  The use of such covert techniques cannot be sidelined in court.

As detainees are released back onto the streets, some will be federal informants.  This is another SOP tactic for the Feds.  This will provide help in battling the insurrection enveloping Portland.

Already this seems to be having some effect.  The following is a complaint from an Antifa terrorist.

This shows just how messed up the thinking is for these Antifa terrorists.  They truly believe they are the “good guys.”  They undoubtedly believe they are on the right side of history.  They came to believe that the establishment authorities in these jurisdictions would continue to allow them to destroy.  And, if the Feds had not stepped in, that would probably be true.  Thanks to Bill Barr and PDJT that has changed.

My guess is that, at some time in the near future, we may see a boatload of arrests done in a coordinated fashion.  This has already happened during Barr’s time as AG in other areas of battling criminality.  This is sure to have a chilling effect on the ability of these terrorist organizations to recruit new members.  This cannot come soon enough.
