This is an inspiring story of redemption. Jon Ponder, a thrice convicted felon, expressed his deep and profound thanks to President Trump for keeping his promise. Ponder had been part of PDJT’s criminal justice reform panel. Ponder runs a program that helps released felons re-integrate into society. PDJT had promised to come to one of Ponder’s graduations. In February PDJT did just that. The President stayed for an hour and a half afterwards meeting with the people who graduated.
On Tuesday Jon Ponder came to the White House in support of PDJT’s re-election. The video is worth a few minutes of your time.
“Today, I’m filled with hope. I have been given a second chance. My transformation began in a prison cell. I gave my life to Jesus. First person to help me was actually the FBI agent who arrested me, Rich Beasley. He is now a dear friend.
My hope for America is that all people regardless of race, color, class or background will take advantage of the fact that we live in a nation of second chances.”
Ponder praised law enforcement. At the end of the presentation PDJT granted Ponder a full pardon for his crimes.
