The exodus of companies from Minneapolis proper continues. Target Corporation, the eighth largest retailer in America, announced in an email to employees on Thursday that it will be leaving the City Center, its primary downtown Minneapolis location.
Company officials cited improved remote work opportunities and less need for space as the drivers for the decision. Was avoiding rioters somewhere on that list of drivers?
“The View” co-host Joy Behar declared the far-left group Antifa is a “fictitious idea” and “not a real thing” on Monday despite its well-documented history of violence.
The hosts reacted to Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., saying he would have been concerned if the Jan. 6 Capitol riot was filled with members of Antifa and Black Lives Matter, instead of Donald Trump supporters.
“If I was surrounded by people carrying weapons, people erecting nooses, screaming ‘hang Mike Pence,’ bludgeoning a police officer to death, I might be a little scared,” Behar said. “But Ron? No, he’s not scared of those people, he’s scared of this fictitious idea of Antifa. A thing that doesn’t even exist.”
Perhaps Joy Behar should stand in front of the federal courthouse in Portland and see if Antifa does not exist.
PDJT started no new wars while in office. This was despite enormous pressure from entrenched military/industrial interests that benefit from war. The authorizations to use military force (AUMF) that passed Congress in 2001 and 2002 were and are still in effect. Some Democrats, recognizing that the public is not in favor of endless wars, want to repeal the AUMF’s.
“It’s time that we end these forever wars,” said California Democratic Rep. Barbara Lee during a news conference on Friday. “We’ve made some standard progress on this issue.” Other Democrats in Congress have joined in the chorus. They claim they have Biden’s support. I wonder what the definition of “standard progress” is.
If they have Beijing Biden’s support, why did Biden increase our military presence in Syria when he took office? Just recently the US once again increased our military presence in Syria. If you believe that the Democrats will end the forever wars, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I would like to talk to you about.
The fact that terrorism has subsided and Osama bin Laden is dead is irrelevant. 75 years after World War II, we still have boots on the ground in Europe and Japan because people make money from our presence there.
These “wars” continue long after the mission is accomplished, just as the COVID restrictions will last long after everyone is vaccinated.
A Ruth Bader Ginsburg statue was unveiled in Brooklyn. The commentary indicated that they wanted to ensure that her legacy “lives on for generations.” While there is no doubt that RGB was a force raising the standard of equality for women in our society, she was also an affront to life itself with her pro-abortion stance.
It is too bad she did not fight for equality for all human beings. Then there would be more people around who could appreciate her legacy.
Now that PDJT is no longer in office, it is apparently okay to name a virus after the locality where it first surfaces. The media and the Democrats had castigated PDJT last year for calling COVID the China virus or the Wuhan flu. Today the media routinely refer to variants that have arisen as the UK variant or the Brazil or South African variants. The NYTimes also referred to the UK variant as the British variant. Didn’t the media claim that this was xenophobic?
Apparently in my dotage, I must have missed the memo that said it was okay to do that again. I guess I can now say again that I once had the German measles.
COVID tyranny strikes in NYC again. They are coming for everyone who refuses to kowtow to the communists who now run our country.
A New York City judge has removed a 6-year-old girl from her mother because the mother did not wear a mask while dropping her daughter off outside of the school the daughter attended.
The dispute moved to court where, in a shocking and egregious move, the court also told Dr. Epstein that in order to get short supervised visits with her child — she will have to wear a mask inside her own home.
This is incredible. The judge should be removed from the bench. The judge is not dispensing justice. The judge is making an example of the mother. They are trying bully everyone into bowing down before the gods of government.
The mother, Dr. Epstein, said, “The only thing I want is for people to stand up already and stop with this nonsense.” And there is the problem. A physician is standing up against the ridiculous mask mandates. Those in power cannot allow that.
Kudos to Dr. Epstein for standing up to these bullies and wannabe dictators.
