It was a disastrous weekend for Southwest Airlines. Across Saturday and Sunday, they canceled more than 2,100 flights, about a quarter of their total. In a statement, Southwest blamed bad weather and air traffic control problems. But the Federal Aviation Administration says, no, there haven’t been any air traffic control issues since last Friday.
If “bad weather” was forcing cancellations, it was an unusual kind of weather since only Southwest appeared to affected. Other airlines didn’t have mass cancellations. There was some rain and thunderstorms in Florida, but no hurricanes. Nothing that required a mass shutdown.
And there are people inside Southwest who are speaking out carefully. Pilots are pushing back against vaccine mandates. Their union has filed a lawsuit against such requirements.

Is this a sickout or some other job action? Alex Berenson provided some context via paraphrasing an email he received from a Southwest Airlines pilot.
Essentially, the union cannot organize or even acknowledge the sickout, because doing so would make it an illegal job action. Years ago, Southwest and its pilots had a rough negotiation, and the union would not even let the pilots internally discuss the possibility of working-to-rule (which would have slowed Southwest to a crawl).
But at the moment the pilots don’t even have to talk to each other about what they’re doing. The anger internally – not just among pilots but other Southwest workers – is enormous.
This tracks with things that I have been seeing in other places. Seattle is facing the threat of losing 40% of their police due to their ill thought out vaccine mandate. It also tracks with feedback that I have gotten from friends in law enforcement in other areas. The level of anger within the country may very well be unprecedented.
The tough prior negotiations notwithstanding, Southwest has a history of decent labor relations, and workers believe the company should stand up for them against the mandate. Telling pilots in particular to comply or face termination has backfired.
Of all the vocations in this country outside the military, commercial airline pilots probably have the highest percentage of former military. Those people carry a strong disposition toward the principles of patriotism, service, liberty and freedom.

“80% of our pilots are ex-military. We see the tyranny that’s happening. They’re coming for the essential workers first (nurses, doctors, military, teachers and transportation workers) and they’re coming for the rest of America next. We’re not doing for us, we’re doing it for America. We swore to defend the Constitution against all enemies.”
And tyranny it is. It has never been about vaccines. If there was a serious public health threat, there would be no exemptions for Congress. It is all about controlling you, about dictating how you can live your life, about what you are allowed to do.
What is happening in Australia shows this rather strikingly. It is now “Papers please” there if you want to participate in society. New South Wales declared “Freedom Day.” Sundance notes:

Yes, after months of government mandated, police enforced, hibernation and strict COVID isolation, millions of formerly free citizens can open their windows and doors for the first time. However, they step out of their homes while crossing a new threshold that can never be reversed. They enter a new era of apartheid, as only vaccinated individuals are permitted to engage in this “Freedom Day” society.
Every venue in New South Wales is under strict legal mandate and government forced compliance to ban all non-vaccinated persons from their facilities. The bright-eyed and squinting sheeple masses are so caught up in the newly permitted freedom, they have yet to fully grasp exactly what this new future entails.
Liberty abandoned under the false guise of security can never be regained.

Do you think the government will not deploy these new registration papers (vaccine passports) to change the way citizens can behave or engage on other matters? If so, you are a fool. Government never gives up control of this scale and significance.

Is this the goal here? I think there is little doubt about that. The forays in NYC and Los Angeles into this kind of totalitarianism are instructive.
And that brings us to the title of this post. Sundance over at CTH has been a leader in publishing information that is vital to bringing sunlight into the dark crevices where evil has been lurking.
Knowledge of a large-scale, visible revolt of the populace must be suppressed. The Southwest pilots may just be the tip of the spear of a much larger revolt across country. Sundance has more than a quarter of a million followers. Publicizing the why of what is happening at Southwest has put great fear into those who would control all of us. As a result, Twitter has suspended features of TheLastRefuge Twitter account for supposed violations of the rules.
Anyone who has seen Sundance’s Twitter feed knows there is no legitimate reason for it to be suspended. Nothing Sundance posts could ever be considered a violation of Twitter’s rules. They simply don’t like what he says, so they silence him.
Of course, CTH owns their own domain and web server. Twitter may stop some access to Sundance’s ideas and theories. However, there are many of us who will rebroadcast Sundance’s ideas. There are a zillion ways to bypass Twitter.
Will the Southwest pilots become one of the dominoes that causes a wholesale removal of our “consent to be governed?” Will significant swaths of the American public say “Enough!”? They will have to shut down the country again to stop the spread of sunlight on the maliciousness of those who would govern us. And that means closing the churches again. I do not see that happening.
