Biden Is Cracking

The mindless wonder inhabiting the White House is cracking under the pressure of having to answer questions he doesn’t like.  I wonder why they are letting him out in public to do so.

Biden was speaking at a press conference touting the passage of the $1.2 trillion “infrastructure” boondoggle when he was asked about the $450,000 payments to illegals. Biden feigned outrage while saying he would try to get payments to those families, criticizing former President Donald Trump’s border policy.  Of course, the policy was also the Obama administration’s policy.  It is also the law of the land.

The Trump administration had been following the law of the Flores Settlement. That’s the 1997 law which states that minors caught breaking into the U.S. can only be held for three days in detention under ordinary circumstances, but lawbreaking adults can be held longer.  Who was President then?  Hint:  It was someone sometimes referred to as “Slick Willie.”

The law has been on the books for 24 years.  Has Joe Biden ever tried to change it?  Do the Democrats have legislation in Congress trying to change it?

Here’s another aspect to this nonsense.  Biden, now that he’s no longer denying the payouts, claims that illegals deserve compensation because the government separated them.  What happens to kids whose parents are citizens and get incarcerated?  It is the same thing.  Should the government be paying these people for their “separation anxiety” because their parents broke the law?  Certainly Biden’s actions are setting this country up for the same kind of lawsuit from families where the parents become incarcerated.

Why is the US government not challenging this in court?  “The president is perfectly comfortable with the Department of Justice settling with the individuals and families who are currently in litigation with the United States government,”  White House principal deputy press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters.

Is the US government going to be paying smugglers with these payments?  Or is this a way to funnel payments to members of the legal profession who are friendly to Democratic interests?  After all, the government is claiming that these payments will save the US taxpayer money.  So, we know that these people are represented by attorneys.  This people are not working pro bono.  This used to be called money laundering.

The claim that lawsuits are prompting the administration to settle quickly is utter nonsense. U.S. law should stand up in U.S. courts and if it does not, appeals should delay it for decades.

The current administration is unbelievably corrupt.
