Are the Democrats panicking?
Rep. Adam Schiff recently slid this language into the text of H.R. 4350.
“CHAPTER 89–COUNTERING EXTREMISM
“1801. Office of Countering Extremism.
“1802. Training and education.
“1803. Data collection and analysis.
“1804. Reporting requirements.
“1805. Definitions.SEC. 529F. EXCLUSION OF EVIDENCE OBTAINED WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION.
Section 271 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:
“(d) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, any information obtained by or with the assistance of a member of the Armed Forces in violation of section 1385 of title 18, shall not be received in evidence in any trial, hearing, or other proceeding in or before any court, grand jury, department, officer, agency, regulatory body, legislative committee, or other authority of the United States, a State, or a political subdivision thereof.”.
Essentially this would prohibit use of any information collected by the US Military in congressional hearings. Can one say massive coverup attempt?
What would be covered? Afghanistan withdrawal, woke policies, vaccine mandates/injuries, and January 6 among other things.
Just how bad would the optics be if the Republicans control the House and begin oversight investigations? Apparently very bad if the Democrats are trying to cover things up now.
