The Biden administration is predictable. In a choice between Brittany Griner, a person who hates America and Paul Whelan, who served his country as a Marine, the communists who run our government will always choose the America basher.
This isn’t the first time the leftists in our government have made such a horrible deal. On May 31, 2014 President Obama announced that he transferred five top Taliban officers and Guantanamo Bay detainees to Qatar in exchange for the release of Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl who was held by the Taliban in Afghanistan. Four of those five now holdtop posts in the Taliban government in Afghanistan.
Bergdahl was captured after deserting his post on June 30, 2009. Bergdahl was tried by general court-martial on charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy and on October 16, 2017, he entered a guilty plea before a military judge at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
Biden traded pot-smoking b-ball player Brittney Griner for Viktor Bout, the “merchant of death.” NBC News reported that the choice was Griner or Whelan not both. So, naturally, the leftists chose Griner. Why not both? Wasn’t Bout worth at least two Americans?
This obviously makes the administration look bad. After realizing the “error of their ways” NBC edited the story to eliminate the idea of a choice between the two.
If Whelan was truly a spy, this makes the prisoner swap actually look a lot worse. This decision, like every one of them coming from this joke of a White House, was most likely made by some staff-level, fruitcake-occupied office at the State Dept.
