Keystone Pipeline Cancellation Cost Tens of Thousands of Jobs

The Biden administration published a congressionally mandated report highlighting the positive economic benefits the Keystone XL Pipeline would have had if President Biden didn’t revoke its federal permits.

The report was completed in late December and issued without any public announcement.  I wonder why.

The Keystone XL project would have created between 16,149 and 59,000 jobs and would have had a positive economic impact of between $3.4-9.6 billion. The pipeline was cancelled on Biden’s first day in office to please the cultists on the left worship at the altar of climate change.  It was the first official step toward destroying the American economy.

Sen. Steve Daines. R-Mont., noted:

“The Biden administration finally owned up to what we have known all along — killing the Keystone XL Pipeline cost good-paying jobs, hurt Montana’s economy and was the first step in the Biden administration’s war on oil and gas production in the United States.  Unfortunately, the administration continues to pursue energy production anywhere but the United States.”

This government doesn’t want American industries to thrive. They do not want sustainable, successful industries in this country. More people would climb into the middle class and be more independent from the government. People who are self-sufficient become more independent in their thinking.  They cannot have that.  Such people are a threat to the collectivism and the ongoing efforts to deceive the public.  They need dependency to allow them to coerce the people more easily.

And this isn’t just about jobs. Energy policy impacts everything else. Does anyone doubt that our inflation problem would be greatly lessened if Biden’s energy policies were different?  And if inflation was less, people would be more self-sufficient.
