Things That Make You Go Hmmm

Joe Manchin at the World Economic Forum complaining about the “open press” and that it is a problem to be solved.

Apparently, Manchin does not believe in freedom of speech or freedom of assembly.  How can the elite control every aspect of people’s lives if such people can have unfettered conversations on the internet?  Let’s remember that the first thing communists do when they take over is to close churches to prevent such unfettered conversations.  Witness Zelenskyy’s moves in Ukraine.

A Swiss MP at the World Economic Forum, who appears to be climate-change-addled, puts forward the idea that there should be no private ownership of automobiles.  He also advocates for punishing companies who do not get onboard with this idea.

Apparently George Soros has pulled out of the 2023 World Economic Forum.  This follows Klaus Schwab’s departure last Friday.  Is something brewing?

Most of us have heard about the nationwide ground stop for all air travel ordered by the FAA last week.

Pete Buttigieg, the erstwhile leader of the Department of Transportation, said there was no evidence of a cyber attack. Just your garden variety software snafu. Some contractor entered the wrong code…no big deal. That is what they said but it was not a very convincing story if you think about it.

Shutting down all commercial air travel in this country even for the morning is a very serious thing to do. The next day, last Thursday, we noticed that virtually the same thing happened in Canada. Well, that was very strange because the US and Canada have separate aviation authorities. They are different countries and each country uses its own software to route its planes. What are the odds of that?

And then we remember that on New Year’s Day two weeks ago a similar thing happened in the Philippines. So, what if the same people or similar people are involved in all of these “software glitches?”  Would we ever know?

The classified documents scandal continues to simmer in Washington.  At least four different places have been identified by Joe Biden’s legal team as containing what appear to be classified documents.

The real question is why were lawyers looking in the boxes in the first place?  What is the real reason highly paid lawyers were engaging in searching boxes at Biden’s U Penn office and subsequently at his home?  What unclassified documents were in those boxes that need to be “moved” out of the way of congressional subpoenas?

From Sundance:

As many have eloquently said before, politics is a circle of money. The politicians provide taxpayer funds to selected private sector businesses, and those corporations fund the political efforts of the politicians. It’s a circle of interests disconnected from the American electorate.

In the latest example, the pharmaceutical corporation Pfizer, a multinational who received billions in taxpayer funds for their COVID-19 vaccination and other efforts, now gives a generous $1 million contribution to the Republican Party of Kentucky to expand a new building for the state party. Kentucky is the home state of Senate Leader Mitch McConnell.

Nothing to see here, move along, move along folks….
