It appears that the unprecedented indictment of a former President of the United States is now imminent. The only problem at the moment is that Manhattan DA Alvin Braggs is hesitating. This probably does not sit well with the money people behind him who want to see that Donald Trump will never again threaten their money flow.
Republicans have been noticeably absent in pointing out the obvious political nature of this potential prosecution. That changed on Tuesday when Kentucky Senator Rand Paul blasted Bragg and his flagrant abuse of power.
A Trump indictment would be a disgusting abuse of power. The DA should be put in jail.

This is a witch hunt that many previous Democrats have determined that there is no there there. Why is it being revived now? Because all other attempts to get Trump have failed.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy weighed in as well.
Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump.

“Here we go again — an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump. I’m directing relevant committees to immediately investigate if federal funds are being used to subvert our democracy by interfering in elections with politically motivated prosecutions.”
Why is the Manhattan DA not calling the grand jury to indict? Could it be the revelation that he has withheld almost 600 pages of exculpatory evidence from the grand jury?
FOX News legal mind Gregg Jarrett noted:
I mentioned it yesterday, I think, when Bob Costello got into that Grand Jury room and told them, “Wait a minute. You don’t have the hundreds of pages I handed over to Alvin Bragg over here? You only have six cherry-picked documents?” You know, hiding from grand juries exculpatory information is reprehensible and unconscionable. And the conduct of Alvin Bragg and his henchman Mark Pomeranz, who specifically says in his book, “We’re targeting zombies because we don’t like his beliefs,” those guys should face disbarment proceedings.
The left continually resorts to weaponizing the legal system against political opponents. This is just another example of that. The Russia collusion hoax was part of that effort. Then they used impeachment to stop Trump’s investigation of the corruption in Ukraine. Mar-a-Lago raid was the next attempt to silence Trump and prevent him from running. The ongoing “RICO” witchhunt in Georgia is another.
Now that this attempt to get Trump appears to be blowing up in their faces, the “Special Counsel” is sure to surface somewhere with a claim about criminal activity involved with the classified documents “scandal.”
I agree with McCarthy and Paul. It may be time to turn the tables and file charges against these people who are abusing their positions within the justice system. Disbarment might be too good for them.
Democrats have neither the brains nor the intestinal fortitude for all this. Look a little deeper. Note what they didn’t do after Bush stole the election and was caught at it. A little pressure and they fold unless a larger force is their spine.
My prediction is that they will fold on this also. They try the most unconscionable maneuvers to keep their constituents in the game, and lose the few constituents who happen to have brains. Listen to Tulsi Gabbard as to why she left them. Look at the criminals they refuse to go after. They are lost, always looking for the next apron strings.
