You should know Jack Phillips. He is the cake artist in Colorado who serves all people. However, he will not create custom cakes that celebrate messages and life styles that violate his religious beliefs. In particular, Phillips will not create custom cakes that espouse the LGBT lifestyle.
Phillips’ right to refuse to be coerced into promoting ideas and ideology that violate his conscience has been upheld in the Supreme Court. Despite this, activists in Colorado continue to try to punish Phillips for his beliefs. And they are not content to get Phillips to stand down from his religious beliefs. They want to force Phillips to promote theirs.
And the State of Colorado has been happy to support these activists in their crusade to force the LGBT agenda down people’s throats. These people are the same people who have been grooming our children and grandchildren. These people have been promoting child porn in our schools. They have been promoting the idea of fake men and fake women.
Americans are fed up with this top-down coercion of people to violate their consciences. Most Americans are live and let live when it comes to an individual’s choice of life style so long as those choices do not infringe on the basic freedoms of all Americans. However, to be forced by the government to speak a message-whether through words, images, or even a custom cake-is wrong.
Phillips is once headed to the highest level in Colorado’s state courts because he refused to bake a custom cake to celebrate the transition of a man into a fake woman. “Free speech is for everyone. No one should be forced to express a message that violates their core beliefs, said ADF senior counsel Jake Warner, who argued before the court on behalf of Phillips.
It is time to ask the Lord for his help in battling these instruments of the devil. Please pray that enlighten will descend on the justices of Colorado’s highest court.
