The first Republican debate is now history. Of all the candidates on stage (even the elephant that was in the room), only Vivek Ramaswamy stood out. I will reserve judgement on him until I learn more. The rest of them are cogs in a machine. There is little difference between them and their counterparts on the other side of the aisle.
The big picture here is that both parties want money and power. Let’s remember that the RNC and the DNC are private corporations who are beholden to whoever funds them. And the huge majority of the funding comes from corporate interests.
When it comes to foreign policy, they are in complete UniParty alignment. This helps us to understand why only PDJT represents an alternative to the foreign policy worldview of the corrupt DC system. This is also why they hate him and us. And why they will do anything to stop his election to the White House for a second term. There are trillions at stake.
The absolute core issue here is money. This might be called neo-fascism. Fascism had the governments controlling the corporate interests. Today it is the other way around. The corporate interests control many governments including ours.
The ultimate, biggest pay-to-play scheme, where the policy of the United States is sold to the highest bidder, becomes an outcome of the interests of the puppet masters, that is, the multinational corporations.
On January 17, 1961, Dwight D. Eisenhower ends his presidential term by warning the nation about the increasing power of the military-industrial complex.
His remarks noted that America’s peacetime defense policy had changed drastically since his military career had ended. Eisenhower expressed concerns about the growing influence of what he termed the military-industrial complex.
The conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry was new in the American experience. Eisenhower warned, “[while] we recognize the imperative need for this development…We must not fail to comprehend its grave implications we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence…The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.” Eisenhower’s warnings have been realized in spades.
And it is not just the military side of it that is a problem. Big Pharma represents as big a risk to the freedom of Americans as the military-industrial complex does. Technological advances during the last three decades have been life-altering. These advances have not been limited to just the military.
In this technological revolution, research is essential and has become more formalized, complex, and costly. A steadily increasing share of such research is conducted for, by, or at the direction of, the Federal government.
This is especially true with Big Pharma. How many patents does Dr. Fauci hold on medicines, medical techniques, etc., that are a direct result of his funding of Big Pharma? How did this warp his judgement about what drugs and techniques to support? Is this why Fauci is so strong in his support of Remdesivir, a drug with many serious even deadly side effects?
Partly because of the huge costs involved, a government contract becomes virtually a substitute for intellectual curiosity. The prospect of the domination of the nation’s scholars by Federal employment, project allocations, and the power of money is ever present. This is exactly what happened with the NIH, CDC and FDA. If you bucked the ongoing narrative, you were defunded. Not only that but the prospect of lucrative employment within Big Pharma further corrupts the entire process of government oversight into the medical industry.
Now my question is which candidate on that stage would take a stand against those slobbering at the military-industrial trough? Which candidate would call out Big Pharma for the evil that was visited on the American public through the mRNA nonsense? Which candidate would expose the corruption within the public health hierarchy?
I will reserve judgement on Ramaswamy. We all know the answer for every other person up there. There are none who would dare to stand up for the American people.
This is part of the value in Donald Trump. He always does so.
