Odds & Ends

John Fetterman has apparently engaged in some self-introspection.

The House went home on Friday without electing a speaker.  The media is apoplectic that this is paralyzing the country.  Last I checked everything is still running smoothly here.  The pundits are worried about the country being forced to shut down some unnecessary functions next month.

My question is, “is that really a downside to this situation?”

California has apparently decided that kids should not be held accountable for their behavior in school.  From the Epoch Times:

It will be illegal for California public schools to suspend students for disrupting class or defying teachers—known as willful defiance suspensions—starting July 1, 2024.

SB 274, recently signed by presidential candidate Governor Newsom, prohibits suspensions for all K-12 students for unruly behavior.  First, no bail for violent criminals and now no accountability for equivalent behavior in the schools.  Pooping on the sidewalks is ok also.

It is no wonder that California is losing residents.

Warning:  This is where California is headed.  The clip below maybe upsetting to some.

Hamas claimed that Israel is bombing people who are fleeing northern Gaza and supplied a video to “prove this.”  Why is there no projectile seen in a 30 fps video?

Is Hamas killing their own people for political purposes?

The question roaming around Washington these days is how the neocon warmongers can get more aid sent to the black hole that is Ukraine.  There is significant Republican opposition to such aid among lawmakers who believe that American needs come first.

The Biden administration is all on board to push more funds into a lost cause.  Currently the administration is trying to see if they can re-direct money authorized for another purpose to help Zelensky’s wife to be able to shop in Paris.

The Israeli-Hamas war has pushed Ukraine out of the news cycle.  It is time to cut losses.
